Need help new to outdoor growing

This may be a stupid question but I'm an indoor grower. I want to grow outside this summer just wondering on a couple things you may be able to help out with. First off I was wondering what strain most of you like to grow outdoors, second, wouldn't the plants die with too much water say if it rained for a few days??? Do you just let them be or do you give them nutes? I was going to use like 10 bag pots with straight up promix and pearlite, any suggestions???

As long as you have good drainage in your mix the rain shouldn't hurt them. They should be given nutes more or less like an inside grow if you want a healthy and productive plant.Any auto should grow good outside if it gets enough water, nutes and ample sunlight.:smokebuds:

Was wanting to do reg not autos for outside. So I was wondering what everyone prefered for an outdoor reg strain, something thats a good yielder for outdoors

Where abouts are you? Latitude and that!

Go to the seed vendor forum and check out High Rise seeds they specialise in outdoor early strains, hard to get hold of the seeds here so havent tried them sorry.
Whens your 1st frost usually ? If its in october you need a hardy and early finisher, if its in november i think you can take your pick !!!
DPs fresian Dew and Sensi's early skunk are the only ones I can vouch for.
Good luck

I can vouch for sensiseeds' Ruderalis Indica and shiva shanti II. They both became huge when sown in April. About 3.5 metres. Both yielded about a 500-950 grams per plant. Quite mold resistant and they finished pretty early in mid september. Here in NL we have a lot of rain, which doesn't hurt the plants at all. Somehow they build a defence mechanism when grown outdoors. I had a few plants which sat in soggy soil for over three weeks and kept growing as normal.

No, the plants won't die if it rains for a few days in a row. After all, cannabis is a weed and evolved outdoors, so it's very adaptable. I would suggest that you amend the Pro Mix with some organic matter, worm castings, composted manure, etc. Because of the unpredictability of rain fall, it's hard to keep outdoor plants on any type of regimented feeding schedule. It may rain, then 4-5 days later when they are just getting dry enough to feed, may rain again. Having the organic matter in your mix will feed the plants during those times when you can't.

I've had good success outdoors with Mi5, Diesel Ryder, Onyx and Auto Assassin. There are also the Super Autos. They take a big longer, but grow bigger and yield more.

I've had great success with highrise genetics at a very similar lat.
Check them out in the breeders section.

Paki x mighty durban fems are great end of september finishing
Bluebonic x gg, skunk x gg, are also similar finishing and patriot medicine is a first or second week of september.

All these mentioned will sex in 40 days under hid lights.

Cheers
