Lighting Need help with side lighting

The temps will raise up a little. Most lights you can figure 3/4 of the wattage as heat. 300 watt light is like a 225 watt heater as well
Do you know who liked the lights you recommended the most? Queenie, the monster(in a good way)! That girl is drinking it up! I can see her smile as I comb her hair and stretch her limbs. :)

Her two days ago...

Thanks so much! Now, I have to make a confession... I bought another light. Have you heard about this one? Is it good? It had great reviews and I liked the price.

Any thoughts on the light?

Yikes! I hate when that happens. :(

I'm looking forward to learning what you think. At least now I know what level of brightness to expect.

And thanks, the girls are very happy and asked me to thank you.

Lol I don't think they are happy I know they are!

Most of these less expensive LED light companies make false claims that's one big issue with lighting. When you look up at the picture I posted earlier you can see where this makes perfect sense. The smaller LED it's 600 W the larger LED is 1000 W and there is a huge size and intensity difference. If you're on a budget and have issues with heat the less expensive LEDs fit very well.

I think the next most important thing about lighting is efficiency most production companies don't list specific information that is the most important when it comes to lighting. There are quite a few companies that sell very efficient lighting. I personally narrowed my selections down to LEC or light emitting ceramics and Cree Cobbs. Now LECs are roughly 43% efficient and Cree Cobbs can be up to 53% efficient compared to say a mars Hydro Which runs below 25% efficient. These numbers are critical when I comes to an indoor grow the amount of efficiency equals the more usable light for the plant and much less heat for instance A very common light is 6 50watt Cree cobs. The panel draws 300 W up a wall in the plants receive 150 W of usable light on the other hand a 300 W mars Hydro at say 25% efficient still draw 300 W at the wall but there is only 75 W the plant uses. Now 25% may sound real bad but that's the same efficiency as most hps lights available. I know this is all a lot to take in and I know it may come off like I'm hating on a specific company when it's really not true. I use Mars and recommend them all the time. They fit well in many grows. But these things are things that most people are aware of. my initial investment I didn't hold back on purchasing equipment,I just want to produce the best with the best products available. Which in the end will repay itself and cost much less to operate. While others may be on a budget and don't have that option. Sorry for any typing errors, I did this while cruising down the road.

It doesn't come through as being negative towards anyone. I appreciate your input, since you have more experience and already did the leg work researching and testing lights. :)

If the light doesn't feel strong enough, I can return it. At least now I have something to compare it to. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Thanks again for all the help!

Hey, have you guys thought about cannabis bonzai? I actually found a really cool tutorial, so you can keep your perpetuals in small spaces.
