Lighting Need help with side lighting

By the way, I got my leds at Amazon, the round ones are under $20 and the large square ones are around $40. The round ones also need the frame to hold them.

Thanks witchyhour nice setup you got going on there. I will def be checking out those leds looks like you got 4 of those square leds and 3 metal reflectors with led bulbs right? Have you grown with this setup before and how did it work out for you. Thx

Thanks! I'll post all the lights I'm using here for you.

I have 2 of those round lights hanging over the plants as well, but you can't see them on the photo. The square one that doesn't have white lights I only got one of, the other 3 square lights have white in them.

This is my very first time growing, so I'm glad all is well so far, apart from the little accident of breaking one of the plants trying to bend it for light training. I'm also trying to clone the non auto flowering one.

This is all so exciting! :)

I love the rod for clamping the lights! What a great idea!

Thanks for posting the lights you bought. Are you doing any lst after your first one snapped or just letting them grow? I figured the shower rod would come in handy sine I'm growing in a closet and can move the cfls up and down as the girls grow.

I'm tying the large leaves together with bread bag ties so the buds can get more light directlyon them. I'm also using Bud Ignitor and Big Bud nutrients. And I'll be using the Overdrive nutrient later in the blooming phase, I read that Overdrive may produce better results than flushing, or both things can be done, Overdrive and flushing. Any thoughts on that?

I do have to say, though, that I'm getting very excited about fem only, not auto, plants. I got the auto seeds because I felt it might be easier for a beginner, but the possibilities with training and cloning are very appealing.

I'm probably going to look into using the rod as well. It seems to give better control of the lights above the plants. And I may get a few more lights. I figure buying one here and there isn't so expensive and even with all the investments, I'll be saving in the long run, since I won't be spending money buying herb, not to mention that I'll probably be enjoying better quality.

By the way, I don't know if you saw, but the part that broke off is growing root! I'm happy that the plant, both parts, is still going and well. I was afraid I had killed it. :)

Whoooa witchyhour you've got some major nute burn or something going on lol. For the future, if you're having problems, drop a line in the 24/7 Live Help so we can help ya early! Try not to wait until it's a disaster hahaa. : ) You're trying hard though so props for that! I'll take a better look and see if I can tell what's going on.

And you should try hydroponics, I'm very happy with the system and after buying a starter kit that cost about $70, I went ahead and put together my own system, which is better and gives the plants more room, for maybe $20. Sometimes, you have to buy one to get the hang of it and be able to build your own...

Those LEDs lights lack the intensity to do much at all. I believe they are like .2 watts per diode compared to normal LED lights which are 3-5 watts per diode. I researched these a lot but never purchased any based on many facts. Even the Mars hydro are lacking,
