My autos are going on week four and still no sign of sex. they look great. i just gave them full strength nutes. they popped on the 20 of last mth. They are 13 inch tall. is this normal???? Do i have to change the light cycle???

Hi There Tyr - Welcome to AFN :) They're week 4 above ground and no lady hairs? Hmmm What seeds did you buy? Were they in breeder packs? Can you throw up a picture of some of the nodes (the branches that are attached at the point of the main stem) for us? If it is an Auto, you won't need to change the light schedule. :) All the best Blue ^_^

After day 20 stretch starts slowly, if plants are put together with not much light or light too high, stretch starts wildly. I f that is your case, than maybe your plants are just too busy with quick growing to show sex yet, but that is onlyguessing without pictures and detailed description.

What kind of lights are you using and what light cycle are you using? Depending on the strain/breeder and the genetics of what you're growing, sometimes you get a freak pheno that displays more photo-dependent characteristics than the others. There's been a few reports on AFN here where the auto's didn't flower under more intense light schedules (like 24/0,) like some of the Royal Queen Seeds lineup. I personally just grew out a Dutch Passion Think Different and Buddha Purple Kush that didn't flower for me on 24/0. Just stayed in veg. The whole grow. Threw out inch long pre's, but that's the extent haha! Another Think Different right next to that one in veg under the same light cycle and it throw out flowers like crazy.

Generally, in nearly all cases reported, dialing the light cycle back promoted flowering growth. So if you're running 20/4, you could try 18/6 or in a drastic case, 12/12.

That's IF that's the issue going on.

What are you environmental conditions like? What's your ambient temperatures? Humidity? Those plants ever get too hot? Even once? Knowing a few more variables would help out immensely! How about some pictures?

We'll help you get it figured out bro!

Im not new to growing... just new to autos Im running 1 600 watt mh and 300 watt hps on 18/6.

To me, IMO, they look to be preflowering and starting to stretch. As in they should start going bonkers here before too long.

83F is TOO HOTTT for your plants. Do what is needed to bring your "daytime" temps down to 75 immediately.

Yup, that's HOT bruv, get some cooling in there. They look good. Cool 'em down and give 'em time.
Do tell what lights you are using and what distance.

Good luck, eP.
