Indoor need soil advice

I have 4 sprouted plants all 4 days old and I didn't pack the soil just poured it in. I want the most out of my plants and pots. Since the soil has gone down a few inches should I layer more on top? Basicly what helps when u have soil shrinkage lol

I usually wait about 4 weeks. after a few waterings some roots may start to show at the base of the stem. that´s when I put a small layer on top. depending on the soil, you get a little noot boost also.

how big are your pots. what kind of soil are you using?

Three 3 gallon pots and a 5 gallon with a 50/50 mix of ocean forest and light warrior with a layer of just the light warrior on top. I have pics on the thread I started of my first grow journal

if you can find 1 of those "mister" spray bottles....mist the soil around your sprouts,that should get them enough hydration without compacting your soil surface.

I used distilled water and poke holes in the lid so it isn't pouring down on it
