I am having some problems with yellowing of the leaves. The leaves aren't dying and feel very good but they are yellowing. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance. The young leaves look real good, it is the larger ones that are having the problem. Pictures below.

Your Equipment:
A) Type and wattage of lights. 600W HPS at the moment
B) Distance from tops? 14"
C) Reflector type? Enclosed w/ active duct
D) What are the bulb wattages, kelvin ratings, and schedule? 600W, 20/4
E) Is there a consistent fresh air supply? Yes, 2 fans with all vents open and one active duct pulling fresh air in.
F) Do you have an exhaust fan and a circulation fan? yes
G) Size of reservoir? 5 gallon smart pots

Your nutrients and water:
H) Source of water. (tap or filtered) What's it's ph? filtered and distilled, 5.7 in ~5.9 out

J) What is the ec/ppm of your unadjusted tap (or filtered) water? unknown
K) What is the ec/ppm of your nutrient solution? unknown
L) What is the temperature of your nutrient solution? room temp drain to waste
M) Does your ec/ppm show a rise or fall when you do your daily PPM check? unknown
N) Does the ph fluctuate? no
O) Do you foliar feed? If so, with what, how often, and at what time do you
spray? no
P) How often do you replace reservoir water/nutes? feed 1/week, water in between feeding

look's like ph issues

Rough Calculation Guide:
Here's some good info on ph.....
If your runoff pH is higher than your starting pH, use this equation to determine your soil pH:*
Soil pH = Runoff pH + Difference

If your runoff pH is lower than your starting pH, us this equation:
Soil pH = Runoff pH - Difference.

For example, say your the starting pH of your solution before it goes in is 6.5 and the pH of your runoff is 7.0. The difference is +0.5, so using the above equation:
Soil pH = 7.0 + 0.5*
Soil pH = 7.5

If your starting pH is 6.5 and your runoff is 6.0, your difference is -0.5 and using the above equation:
Soil pH = 6.0 - 0.5
Soil pH = 5.5

I am at 5.7 going in and the run off is 5.9. That seems like the sweet spot from the chart above. Should I raise it a little? Thanks for the advice.

so thats 5.9, ya you want to be 6.5

OK, I was under the assumption I should be at hydro ph with Promix. Damn that was a mistake. How quickly should I raise the ph, all at once or slightly over the course of the next few waterings.

get it corrected ASAP... flush with plain water ph'ed to between 6.3 nd 6.5 2-3 times the pots volume..

then re-feed at proper ph and nute strength... and expect a little extra time before it dires out to normal again..

:toke:

Thanks gents! Wonderful board with great assistance. You guys rock.

OK, just to update for future reference. I flushed both plants with 3 gallons tap ph'ed to 6.5. Was getting a runoff of about 6.1 while flushing. I didn't feed at all and let everything dry out for one week. The leafs are looking much better, the plants took off like crazy this week and grew about 6". I waited until the top 4" of soil was completely dry and just fed at half strength. It was definitely a ph issue. All I can say is thanks to everyone for their quick and precise response. You guys saved me a lot of heartache and probably a few ounces of lost bud. :grat: I wish I could send everyone that helped a bud off of this first grow!
