Hi, what´s up guys? I need some help with plant def diagnostic help.

This is two pictures of a Guerilla Pearl clone. My GP that the clone comes from does also show these same signs on the leaves. Can it be some insect pest or is it some nute def?

I have tried to diagnos it myself with the def charts, but i can´t seem to get it right, Can someone please help me out. I would really apprecieate it.

Thanx guys. :)

/H.

How do i do that? I have checked under the leaves, but i can see anything. Are they that small?

Okay you have some sort of pest I am sure. I also think it is Thrips. Not a HUGE disaster, but pests none the less, and you have to do something NOW. Check with a magnifying glass on the leaves, over and under, for tiny black/grey looking bugs. they will also leave larvae, which eat little strips of green from your plant. The scarring looks like white super thin stripes, and a lot of them make your plant look whitish. The larvae, usually on the underside of the leaves, if they aren't embedded into the leaf yet, look like little clear globes of clear goo, about the size of a pinhead. You can barely see them with a magnifier. They will usually start on the lower leaves, and work their way up the plant. Also, if you pat the area around the stalks, you should see tiny little black fly hoppin' things, bouncing around when you put your hand near. Look close cuz those buggers are hard to see.

If this is what you have, there are many remedies. Remove as much of the most damaged leaves that are infected. When you do that you can use many pesticides that do work. I liked, and used Ed Rosenthal's Rosemary pesticide, the name eludes me at the moment. But I hear lavender soaked in water is the newest method. It took about a week to get rid of them with spraying and pouring into the soil with water.

Hope this helps.

I took a magnifier 60+ and i am sure it´s thrips. So your advice is to take the damaged leaves off, and then find a pesticide and spray it with?
The thing is that i don´t have any bugsprays. Can i just do something else during the time i get my hand on some? I have heard that water and dishwash?

I will start taking the leaves off now, and i will check in in about an hour. Peace. Thanx guys. :)

If some are lightly damaged make your best judgement call, can't remove all of them. yes, dishsoap water can repel them, but you can do that for now. I think IMO that you will need a knockout punch to kill them. Also there is an isopropyl alcohol and water solution too,I know that one, I am sure it is on this site somewhere's.

Mix three tablespoons of liquid detergent into a gallon of water and use this solution weekly. Many bugs just can't tolerate the taste of soapy water. Collect some of the soapy water in a pan and pour it into a watering can or even use a pitcher to pour it over the plants.

Make sure you spray the whole plant, under the leaves as well, and then dump any excess soap water into the soil.
---------------------------

Alcohol spray is excellent for houseplants, being particularly effective against meal bugs. The ingredients needed are 1/2 cup of alcohol, 2-3 tablespoons of dry laundry soap, and 1 quart of warm water. To make your own pesticide, mix all ingredients and spray immediately. Remember that this solution must be made fresh for each use.
------------------------

Another type of pesticide is salt spray, which is used for cabbageworms and spider mites. To make this pesticide, you require 2 tablespoons of salt, and 1 gallon of water. All you have to do is to simply mix and spray.
-------------------------

Hey try the soap solution, and add three drops of tabasco, or a pinch of cayenne powder to it.
You should get rid of them with that.

Don't let up on them, or they will come back. and you don't want them when you get yer flowers all sticky.

Also: pour about a half inch of sand on top of your soil, to keep them and other pests from laying eggs, they cant penetrate it.

I did a lot of outdoor, and had a lot of pests, tried a lot of stuff. Some expensive some not so much. Best for me is dishsoap(the cheap stuff) I mix it up heavy, then completely saturated the plant. About 15 min. Later wash down completely with warm water removing corpses as I go, them give a second treatment of plain water. Shake em out real well, check again over next couple of days. So far have not had to repeat treatment for same bugs. I get new ones, won't repel new ones but it will sure end an infestation in a hurry. Probably not a revelation, just thought is add.

I sprayed the leaves with salt water, and took off the leaves that were infeseted. And i saw results actually. Yesterday i washed down my tent with some chlorine water, and dishsoap before and after.

I sprayed my clones, and also the tomatos and peppers with a non-organic pesticide spray to make sure that i´m absolutely 100% sure to get rid of them.

Hope for the best now. :)

Never again use outdoor soil for indoor grow.
