Need to confirm mag deficiency

I think I have a Mag Deficiency. Just starting on the lower leaves. She is 30 days in soil under a 480w LED. Have added 1/2 strength cal/mag the last couple of water/feed.

No expert by anymeans man, but to me looks like a nitrogen deficiency?

it doesn't look like Mg deficiency to me.

Its not uncommon for the lower older leaves to yellow and then die off due to lack of light as the plant gets bigger.

I am a newb, but I have looked into this stuff quite a bit. According to images and charts, it doesn't look like a mg deficiency. Are you feeding them enough? Maybe they are a bit underfed? I am not really seeing many pics that look like yours. They say purple stems are a sign of underfeeding. If the stems are purple, I would try bumping the feed up just a little bit and see what happens.

Again, I'm inexperienced, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. But that's what I would be looking into.

The second pic kind of shows beginning signs of mag def. I would say it may be the beginning stages.

The soil in the main part of the pot is
3 parts HF
2 parts OF
2 parts chunky perlite
Dolomite Lime

The center part of the pot (about 4"dia x 6" deep) is
2 parts MW
1 part soil from main part


Soil pH with accurate 8 is 6.6-6.8


Have fed 3 times. First time with 1/2 ml/l of ea. Next two feeds were 1 ml/l
GH CaliMagic
AN Voodoo Juice
AN pH perfect Grow
AN pH perfect Micro
AN pH perfect Bloom
AN B-52

With you on this. Too small to have any deficiencies. They need a bit of VEG nutrients IMHO. Thirty days old can take VEG nutrients w/o an issue.


Check the water IN ph too. 6.0-7.0 range in soil
