pics of my b.gum side branches. The question I have is they are getting numerous shoots coming from the fan leaf axis as you can see in the pics. This happens on every plant and I no this is normal but some of them start far down the stem and don't get much light and therefore get thin and spindly so I have been removing them and just leaving the ones that are farther up the stem because these will turn into buds. What do you do with yours cut them or just leave them grow naturally DSCF0332.jpgDSCF0331.jpg:grin:

I like a nice natural bush nammy!

I Never trim it - just let it grow and grow!
(Even the spindly bits)

But that's just me.

Tempted to trim, but I let them go au naturale

I take mine off.... I trim as much BS off the plant as I can without slowing her down. I do it slowly over the course of a week or so during the switch over to flower.

You had to go there didn't you.:roflcry:

Hey .. it could've been a lot worse if i'd have gone the other way
And i thought a picture-emote would definately be pushing it way too far! :p

To get back to your question. I really do leave the plant alone :) .... But that's just what i've come to take as "law" with autos and am difinately interested in removing crap if it doesn't effect growth.

Nice thread nammy, I'm keen to see what everyone else is doing

Blue! You are clearly on the opposite side of Lady Waxi's "Manscape Manifesto"... She keeps muttering about Waxi Does Dallas and the like.... Jeez.... lololol
:kusht:
Nam, Brother.. I usually trim the photos of their wispy bits, and leave the autos to their own devices :)

Depends on growing style I am using.
Not so long ago I did a 12/12 from seed with photos they grew to 100cm - 120 cm with space between the internodes, everything stayed on.
My most recent grow was all about keeping them short and bushy. Internodes were 10 mm apart and strarted 10mm from the top of the coco.
I during the grow removed loads of leaves due to the shear number and density, partly to allow light to bud sites but also to allow air movement allowing moisture to escape and avoid mildew.

This is one of my recent plants kept short by transplanting at sex and keeping temps even 24hrs aday.
This photo is just prior to being chopped, so most of the leaves have been removed, but when it was in full leaf the leaves covered the pot and did no let any air or light in.
So I pruned the leaves that did not get any light and let the air in.DSCN2259 (FILEminimizer).JPG
