Waiting on UPS delivery today to set up 600 watt 4x4x6.5 tent. I have 3 seedlings which have emerged and 1 photo which is emerging today. Decided to grow photo with start of my autos as I had the seed. Any advice on growing photo at first in tent with autos. I have gotten roots organic original soil and plan to add extra perlite to it, perlite has been washed and dried and waiting . I have added the smallest amount of voodoo juice to water for first watering before adding seedlings. My sweet coffee ryder emerged on feb 27 and she is about 3 inches tall. I am unsure if this is ok or if she is stretching too much. Currently seedlings are under a plant grow (blue Spec) until tent arrives today. They are not too hot as i have thermometer directly under light also. They all seem like happy little babies . I will upload pics once tent is assembled and plants are in permanent homes. I am sure no one is interested in seedling pics. ha ha Any advice is greatly appreciated . let me add strains....1 sweet coffee ryder, 1 white sirius , 1 dedoverdehaze and 1 photo = la woman. thank u all !!!

Hello and welcome to afn! Sounds like you are off to a great start! Lots of people start photos before their autos finish, but if you plan on vegging it for the life of the autos then switching, you are going to have a beast of a plant! Good luck and keep us posted on the good work

Hi and welcome looks like brich has you all sorted..

happy smokes.. elvis 1 sec.jpg

Welcome bro, if I read your post right you are going to end up vegging that photo for at least 9 or 10 weeks on 18/6 or more until the autos are ready for harvest! That's going to get huge in your size tent with three autos in there as well, are you planning on scrogging or anything to keep it low?

I have been researching scrogging for future grows but since this is 1st was not so sure. I have done photos outdoors and can not think of term, but ive pinched my plants (outdoors) to bush and keep low , with good success. I figured I would do this or just move it out of tent, by then conditions outside or even in a room would be ideal to continue grow of photo. What would your advice be? and thx ;)

Thanks guys. Question, had I had my ducks in a row from the start, I would have researched sooner. I would do subcools super soil ... next grow !! Do I need to add dolomite to my Roots organic soil/perlite mix ?? Plan on doing up pots today with soil and placing babies asap. And any suggestions on pot or growing bags , being the trash bag like growing bags?

I normally just panic when they get too tall! Sounds like a better plan than mine m8 :)

Nice to see so many garden virgins here. I hope we can all have a successful harvest and learn from our collective experiences along the way. May the Great Bud in the Sky shine greenly upon your thumbs !

Hi kmscott and welcome to AFN

Looking forward to seeing you babies in their new tent.

Regarding your question about pots or grow bags, cloth type grow bags work great since they can breath and help reduce the possibility of overwatering but anything will work as long as you wait until the container start to feel lighter before watering again.

Since it sounds like you will be a soil grower a soil pH probe like the Accurate 8 would be a good investment. Without knowing the pH of your current medium there is no way to know if adding dolomite will help or hurt

Great, thx so much. I will get the probe u mention and also buy the dolomite to have on hand !!! Yes soil grower, this time ;)
