A grower could take an auto, turn one female male or use a male if the grower has regular auto seed (male / female seeds). Put the pollen on the non auto Grape Ape. After a grower has seed from the Grape Ape photo, the pheno most like grape ape would be backcrossed with the auto strain again. A gardener can plant seeds to see what ratio of plants come out auto, find the auto offspring phenos that are most like grape ape but are auto. I am not sure how many crosses it would take, or how long it will take to have some stability to the new auto strain, some strains are easier than others since some traits such as flavor are dominant in some strains, it may take some work, but it can be done. Once a grower has a grape ape auto they are happy with, a few clones can be made so that a male can be produced and the plant can be selfed which will produce all female plants with the desirable traits. It may take a lot of work, clones of each pheno of offspring may need to be cloned / sex changed and bred so that you will have copies and keep the selfed seed from only the best plants. One would be wise to make as many seed as possible so as to have a supply since these are autos.........
