Sheeeit, I can' remember much of the 60's or 70's. I always thought a hippy was a chick with a fat ass. Guess I learned something new today. Who says you can't teach an old dog.LOL

The Baby Boomers who were the force behind the events of the 60's became so for a reason. Yes the 60's were an interesting time and a period of great change. The culture of the 60's was an oxymoron. It embraced both activism and apathy (turn on, tune in, drop out ). Want to know what one of the things was that inspired this? Imagine, your 5-10 years old. your in school and an alarm goes off and your told to do the "duck and cover". I remember being about 7 years old, under my desk in the duck and cover, and thinking: " I'm going to die today". And you grow up thinking: "I've got to do something to change this". And you come to realise that there are many issues, all connected that need to be addressed. And some days, it was all too overwhelming and you'd say fuck it, and get stoned, or drunk, or both. Then pull yourself together and try again.

It wasn't all smoking pot and Woodstock.

Nope not all pot smoking. I did just about anything I could lay my hands on. But after a few year came to realize that my lifespan wouldn't be too long with that lifestyle. Got into a herb only groove and been truckin ever since.
