Lighting new GN Units

Lol ye no shutting down of threads, this is a discussion not a row or a fight!

So no spec so ye we have to wait and see.

I was thinking of buying an MS006 but they have stopped selling them, i may buy the same model SB used for his popular auto mazar grow where he pulled 350g from one plant :

or the updated model since his light was from 2009 so pretty dated.

LED tech is developing rapidly so you never know, perhaps GN have something tricksy up their sleeves, can't wait to find out :)

All the best,

Yeah....The forum is broken... I didn't copy and paste the same post for the fun of it. Probably tabbed away into my game i was playing...came back later and saw the leave this page button and clicked it...Go for it, delete one of the posts, I don't mind.

I do think your definition of flaming differs a little from mine though...To me flaming involves foul language, comments about peoples mothers and general derogatory content seeking to promote discord and drama.... I hope that what I have said in this discussion hasn't come accross that way... Sure, I have an opinion, but I respect other peoples rights to have their opinions too.

No mad.

Looks like a productive discussion to me.

If these unitss perform like a ferrari for the efficiency of a prius, and the reliability of...some reliable automotive equivalent...lol.... I'd buy em.

I'm punching 1600watts of LED into my tent at the moment. If I could reduce that to 800 and still get the same growth it would be insane...

I could halve my power costs (which are considerable starting at $0.28 per kwh and rising to $0.46 incrementally)...

Or double my growing capacity. Keeping my power bills in the realm of reasonable is pretty important to the safety of my hobby.

check out the Ferrari F70 bro it's a hybrid concept car.

Your double posting came into Reported Posts as flaming...that is why I had to come out to Look.

If you are Chilled..so am I....:Hookah:..have a great weekend.

Man i cannot believe the prices hydrogrow charge !!! http://www.hydrogrowled.com/ I'll have to see how my first hydro grow goes under this Prakasa then decide whether or not to stay with them, same input wattage as the MS04 and very bright output, hard to look at, and they do COB lights now and they charge roughly £1 per watt : http://www.prakasa.co.uk/ steely

Glad everyone is getting along, I'm not in the business of censorship (I don't even have the power to close the thread) just wanted to ensure people don't fall out over pure speculation and that the vibe remains in tact :peace:

Yeah bro we're all kin here.

Your making yourself look a fool bro how can you flame out on a company saying there ripping people off when you have no facts about the product you claim there over charging for ???

Bit harsh don't you think? I'm not calling anyone names... I know what i have read here, it costs 330pounds, uses 75w of electricity, contains LED diodes some power supplies...wiring..heatsinks and fans... I'm not flaming out on a company...Just voicing an opinion on the disparity in pricing between the upper and lower end of the LED market...Or...you know the consumer market in general...I hate paying $120 for brand name jeans, but i still do it while loling at people paying $600 for brand name jeans...

If you have no interest or intention to purchase one of the new units then you don't really need to be in this thread, you can just sit back and laugh at all of us who willpay whatever price GN decides for our "perceived quality" and we will laugh back, which means everyone's laughing and happy and winning. Pal out. :peace: :peace: :peace:

I think the fact that you willpay whatever price GN decides for your "perceived quality" is part of the reason these new units look to be coming into the market fairly high in the price range..brand recognition. I have plenty of interest in these new units, like i said if they perform as well as the fanboys hope at such a low electricity cost there could definately be a place for them in my setup. I do think however that i make a valid point about some of the expensive units on the market being less than impressive for their price.

This appeared to be a conversation based on rumours/projections of an upcoming product...And people are getting way too emotional about it... I'm as interested as anyone to see what new LED technology hits the market, but i also have a fine sense of cost vs value... I'm not judging anyone else's choices or opinions but i am a skeptic at heart.

I can't wait to see how a 75w led will equal a 200w led. I don't really believe it but if it's true then that just means led growing is going to get even better as eventually other companies will start doing it too and for a cheaper price.
