Hey ksj, I was looking at the latest rebel LEDs. They really do look fantastic, philips recommend running the LEDs lower than rated, improves the reliability while only slitly reducing output but giving much better engergy in to light out efficiency. They produce twice as much light as standard LED.
I checked it out becouse I thought the rumours about the new GrowNothern panals where unrealistic. But if ya do a search you can find 'Engery Saving Trust' measuements on the bulbs. There so good 'EST' are going to have to update their formula 'cos if come up with an efficiency rating of 130% (which is impossible).
Just checking :tiphat:
130% Hmm
This is from phillips datasheet..
All royal blue lm/w 37-53% examp. LXML-PB01-0040 2.95v 350ma 1.03w = 40LM 40%
deep reed lm/w 34-42%
The lime green color is at most 190lm/w 190%.. That's ridiculous high power
Just some facts .
Dont´t get me wrong. I know led can produce. i been doing some testing with a diy led "actual watt 38" yep that small" works pretty damm well..
I look forward to see the new lights.
