Indoor New, Grow/Tips/Anyone?

whats up fellow growers.. CATION! Newbie has registered and entered this growing scene. Lets get serious though. I have got my medi card recently and will be starting a grow within this month. This is my first grow and I'm going for AF plants. I have many questions as I don't wanna just go blow some cash on a grow without some more advice.

Okay I plan on doing a indoor tent grow with AF auto AK Fem seeds off of seedsman.com . The tent I plan on using is 31" deep 5'wide 5' tall with a 400 watt Sunlight Supply light with a light reflector. How many plants could i fit in that space without pushing it, I was hoping 4 at least. What size of pots would be used, soil, nutrients. I will have more questions I just dont wannna ask too much for second post, hopefully you guys wont get bothered.I will just keep it in one thread to keep this forum clean. Also I've been reading around and hear that Muddy or Joe Dirt are good with first time growers. But I don't wanna go bothering until I get a couple other questions answered

If you go 3gal pots you should be able to get eight to ten in that area.Fox Farm ocean forest , or promix .High nitrogen fert for veg grow,and high phosphurous for flower stage.

There's quite a lot to consider, but you also need to ask yourself, how much do you want to produce, what size space do you have, what is your budget for the setup. A 400 watter will definately do the job - my cab is only 60cm x 60cm x 180cm and i have a 250w dual spectrum HPS which i will grow 2 or 3 plats max in. (That covers my personal needs just fine) You will need to budget for a extractor fan and carbon filter, an air movement fan. For soil you'd be best going for a high quality unfertilised soil. Nutrients, you'll need some Veg Nutes - and some Bloom/Flowering nutes You'll want to pickup a ph testing pen so you can see the PH of water going in to your pot and test the PH of water coming out of your pot. A bit of PH down The best people to ask for advice over and above this are Muddy and Jackal in the new growers forum - extremely helpfull and knowledgable. Other than that theres some nice tips in indoor growing - Full D's art of growing hefty autos in small spaces is a good read. Good luck

firstly welcome to AFN!! sounds like a good set up, i use seedsman too, in your spacfe use either 6.5litre ot the bigger 11 litre pots, the auto ak, which compny was it(seedsman is the middle man) as i am currently growing 2 of these( mini gun and maxi gom) and they will go more than 5 ft tall, once u have a light in and leave 60cm or so to top of plant you only have around 3.5 4 ft in height so check the possible heights of your ak strain as these can grow big, in the 6.5 litre square pots i use they will do 1-1.5 meters, more in 11 litre pots, with 1 400w, id go with 6.5 litre pots(look at growell for type) and you should get 10 in your space and height, if you go with larger pots you may find height an issue, but look around, threre will be plenty of advice, any questions ask as we are all friendly!!! i use same company and strains tho i run 4x 400w and 1 x 250 in a 2m high space and some of my ak strains are touching the top!( see my grow update for how tall they can go!) again welcome! feel free to ask, newbie or vetran we are all here to learn and share!http://youtu.be/p1KGe9Jv_6k
