New Grower Questions

I've put 5 autos in a 1.2m x 2m tent. I'm using a 600w HPS and growing in Canna Terra Pro soil. I will be using Oldtimers Grow and Bloom as feed with some cal mag.

So far I'm on day 8 and things look OK for now but when would I need to start feeding grow and bloom feed?

Also would you recommend any training for them?

Hi there,

Your soul should be good for about the first three weeks. You may even get away without the grow nutes being needed.

It depends on what your soil mix has in it to say when to start feeding but normally you don't need nutes until the plants have at least two or three sets of leaves.You should start with veg nutes only at first and a lower dose until plants get bigger than up dosage.Start bloom nutes when pistol start showing and add cal/mag along with your feed and make sure you ph your water.

Just an update with a few pics. They are a couple of days off being 3 weeks old now. All 5 are still dark green so I've not used any nutrients except cal mag and this evening I used a tad of silicon at quarter strength. I've hardly watered them as they are in 11 ltr pots and taking at while to dry out at this stage.

The only negatives I can see so far is a little curling on the leaves due to it being a little hot and dry in there despite 2 fans and damp towels hanging in there

If you spot anything untoward in the pics let me know. I'm aware Think Different has some crinkly leaves!

Hi yes I'm almost at 3 weeks now and they are still a nice dark green colour so I'll keep an eye on them. I'm using plant magic oldtimers and as far as I know I might need a bit of grow in with bloom for the first couple of weeks flower as bloom is very low on N.

Oh yeah, just to add I topped the Durban because it was bloody lanky. I hope it will be ok. I am really not sure what branches to tie down, never used LST before.
