I will be growing 3-4 fast and vast auto's in this space. using 3 gallon pots and maybe one 5 gallon under a 400 watt hps with a dimmable ballast. Should i use my MH bulb for the seedlings as opposed to the HPS at a dimmed percentage? Right now it is unfinished i will be adding a fan (of course) 2 reflective panels (should i put them horizontally or verticaly??) and considering a co2 bag type of contraption as this many plants will eat up co2 like nothing in a closet. Right now i have 2 bag seed plants in there for the hell of it while i wait on my seeds. I looked to excessive and hipy's grow for guidance. i will be growing with 100% cana coco using gh flora micro (possibly gro if i can get any input on that) and bloom during flower (i think thats the right time to use a bloom nute) and calmag. Needless to say im high so bare with me. I appreciate any input on the grow space and what it could be missing. the holes cut where there already and may provide a little ventilation (thoughts)??:tiphat: CAM04056.jpgCAM04054.jpg

If you got it yes use it through veg or when vertical growth stop...I would add a fan to the roster also.

Welcome on board.:Sharing One:

There is a lot of work and worries until you will fill your first jar.

Your description is quite poor, but some thoughts anyway:

- your closet seems to be ok, just some reflective material on the walls, not anything, the right one reflective material. And air exchange, of course. Preparation of grow area depends on area, where you live, I mean how cold, hot, humid, dry might be. Where I live, I fight with humidity for a month, then it gets too dry and so on. Right now there are cold and dry winds blowing and my place went down to 28% RH yesterday, when I had opened windows for some more time.
- HID bulb is light/heater all in one so excessive heat MUST go out immediatelly. Heat makes air dry, depending where you live, seedlings will hardy bare dry and hot environment.
- I do not see RH meters, ph meters, ph down/up stuff, etc., etc.
- coco is hard to start with, by the time you use it, you should be very familiar with ph stuff, watering and feeding.
- Adding CO2 is totally unnecessary, you can not close your place for it to stay inside. CO2 is for professional growers, better think about more necessary things.
- MH is made for the best growth/development in veg period so use it at right distance.

Good luck!

I can seal my closet with no problem but ok so no co2. However wouldn't my plants be low on oxygen if i dont get anything?? As for an MH for the seedlings should i use the hps instead at a dimmed percentage? i dont know what RH is but i have ph meters and ph up and down on the way. as for the growing base i mean mixing nutes and watering plants doesn't seem like rocket science, basic measuring at most so i'll be alright lol. Aside from a clip on fan what could i use for keeping the room from over heating?

I see you have cool tube. In this case you may seal your closet and get high CO2 level. I really doubt, that it will make any difference. Fresh air is all you need.

You may use HPS with little poorer results, but I do not understand why buying MH then.

Your main concerns now are heat, humidity (RH is relative humidity) and of course, preparing your coco and fertilisers to start. You can fight heat with air conditioner or fresh air intake, if there is some fresh air around. Sometimes, in the summer, that might not be an option.

I suggest you to run light for some time and see what is going on with heat. You will never start your seedlingssuccesfully in hot and dry closet, if that is your case.
You give very poor explanation and you can get only poor answers full of guessing. There are many different places on the Earth, which demand different approaches.

Sooo i got my order in recently and potted up the canna coco. I was told to wet the coco with water at a ph level of 5.8 and get a run off of 25%. i have ZERO idea what that last part means but i intend to find out. I have 4 pots at the moment and will be planting HEAVYWEIGHT SEEDS FRUIT PUNCH in all 4. i expect to relocate soon and plant the additional seed as well as the 8 other freebies i got for the wait. The seeds are germinating at the moment and i am expecting GH flora micro and GH flora gro in the mail. i was also told to feed bloom through out the plants growth so i will order that as well. Heres some pics of the updated closet and the seed order from sensibleseeds. :pimp:
