Hi there folks, I'm new here and new to autos, not that I have an overabundance of experience with photos either, but I have done a couple before (in a VERY cramped space).

For several reasons I have come to the conclusion that autos are the best choice for my setup and stealth needs, so here I am, where I believe all my auto information needs are met :)

I started with one auto Blue Mystic (Nirvana) in a 10 liter (about 2.6 gal) pot.
There is room for about 4 plants total in my space, but I wanted to start with just the one, to test my setup, see how much one plant smells etc. etc....

I have 3 more feminized auto seeds, (2 Nirvana Bubblelicious and a freebie Dinafem Critical + Automatic), and 4 feminized photo's, (another Blue Mystic and 2 Northern Lights from Nirvana, and a freebie Dinafem California Hash Plant)
I'm considering starting all the photos next, just to get them out of the way, heheh...

My Blue Mystic broke ground Feb. 8 and seems to be doing well in soil consisting of about 70% seedling/cactus soil, 20% perlite and the rest a dash of vermiculite and non-clumping clay cat litter, a "recipe" from a Norwegian cannabis forum.
I have Biobizz Grow, Bloom and Topmax for later.

My biggest problem so far has been figuring out how to water a seedling in such a big pot, I have been trying to err on the side of caution and have been very conservative with the watering.

My light is a 250W dual spectrum CFL, temps range from about 22 deg. C during lights off to 26-29 degress during lights on, depending on how much I can keep the door to the room with the grow space open.
I had the lights on 24/7 the first 7 days, now I'm keeping a 20/4 schedule and plan to do so for the rest of the grow.

I have trouble with low indoor humidity, but I put a warm mist humidifier in the grow space and with it humidity stays between 25-30%.

I also have an oscillating fan in there, at a distance and on the lowest setting so far. It is the only "ventilation" I am able to provide, sadly.

So, that's a bit about what's going on here at the moment :)

I only have crappy cameras, but if I can manage to get a decent picture I might post one later.

Happy growing, all! :D

Welcome Fluke83! Pics of poor quality are better than none in my books haha. I'm a noob myself but lots of great info and experienced growers here to help ya along

Keep and eye out for kids watering cans/beach toys, I'm in the market myself since I've been using a turkey baster, only one I found was bright pink with a Disney Princess on it lol

:peace:

You should be watering the entire pot at this point.Your roots are forming very fast and you don't want them to hit dry spots in your pot so water enough to get some runoff so your roots will find moisture through entire pot.

The soil was moist from the bag the day I put the cracked seed in, and I used a mister bottle to keep the seed spot moist until she popped. Then I watered with a tablespoon so as to not get any on the parts above ground, 2-3 spoonfuls a day around the sprout (like feeding a baby, hahah!), the soil was getting very dry on top and quite far down after a while.

On day 7 I watered the entire pot until runoff, and watered another 0.3 l on day 10, since the pot still felt quite heavy from the full watering.

She still looks very small to me though, so I am worried about watering to much, while at the same I'm worrying that some parts of the pot will get TOO dry.

I will put a picture up later, but most seedlings this age I have seen seem to be much further along in their development, I can only just see the tips if her third set of true leaves.

Maybe I'll get a micro plant in a huge pot, heheh...

This is 12 days from she came above ground. Using my hand for scale, I'm a girl.. :)

That top layer is clay kitty litter, my soil does not look like that, heheh.. This brand of kitty litter is widely used here, both in gardening and aquariums, I got the tip from a local forum.

In the last picture you can see some slight twisting of the first leaves, I was a bit worried about this at first, but the next set seems fine. Too dry environment to begin with maybe? I didn't have a humidifier to begin with and struggled to get above 20-21% rh.

I'm still worried that I'll be overwatering if I water the entire pot every time I water, seeing as how she's so small, or that parts of the pot will get too dry if I wait for the entire pot to get lighter...

What kind of soil are you using? If you watered until runoff and pots feel heavy you don't need to water for awhile. As long as your pot is completely watered the roots will spread quickly.Top growth is some what slow at this point but with every set of knew leaves it will pick up a lot.Next time you water I would feed her a light dose of veg nutes along with some cal-mag and you should see her shoot up after a few days once the nutes are picked up.

I use a non/low fertilized seedling/cactus soil from a regular garden centre, with perlite, about 70/20 soil/perlite with a handful of vermiculite and a handful of that kitty litter I also use as a top layer.
The theory is that a top layer of that cat sand will keep the top part of the soil from drying out so much compared to the rest, keeping the soil more uniformly moist. It will also help against any eventual pests, but I (knock on wood) don't think I will have any problems with that.

I have Biobizz Grow, Bloom and Topmax, but no additonal cal/mag. I have heard Biobizz are quite low on cal/mag, i also have very soft water, so I figured I'd be needing extra cal/mag, but haven't been able to find any easily available products here. Will have to look into that.

See, people like you are the reason I knew I'd love this forum.. :-D Thanks!
