Greetings!

Name's Hero and I've been growing on and off for the past 9 years. I started off with organics and had good success. Learned a little bit about compost teas, soil/soilles mixes, soil biology, etc. I'm currently dabbling with hydroponics in coco coir right now though. I like trying a wide variety of techniques as you can see as it's very fun.

I run a 4x4 tent with a 600w HPS/MH and I have a small 2x4 area with a 2 level rack(upper small level is two T8's and the lower bigger level has 4 T5's) I call that my nursery for young plants and clones. I also grow outside in organic soil beds when I can.

My experience ends with photoperiod strains. I have never grown an auto before but I really like the idea especially If I'm looking to get some fast flowers to tide me over till a bigger harvest.

I'm also watching those autocobs as a potential replacment to my
HPS set up. They seem very promising.

No auto's yet but I just ordered a bunch. I thought I'd share a few picture's. One of my girls right now in a 16oz beer cup for fun as well as a past Durban Poison grow and dry flower shot of Grape Ape that I ran as well. So glad there is a forum dedicated to Auto's! Thanks for stoping in, thanks for providing your time/knowledge and most of all happy growing everyone!

Welcome aboard.

@slowandeasy might be a great helping hand with your transition. I too made the switch and trust that ill stick with the autos. They can yield amazing and finish much faster. Just remember a pound of auto and pound of photo take the same space to grow.

What Auto strains have you ordered? I can try to hep you out as much as possible. If you want to run the Autocobs, you could do 4-6 in a 4x4 depending on how far you keep them away from the plants. I have 6 and a little 200w California Lightworks LED, BUT I only have 3 cobs running right now because they are seedlings. With the Autocobs, distance is important. Keep them far away and ease your way lower. If you see stress, back off. CALMAG issues can happen if your lights are close. I have 10 of the 3 Bears OG, the plants at further distances look perfect, not as big of buds. The closer plants have bigger buds, but need more CALMAG. Those little lights are really strong, do not underestimate them! I run Coco and have experimented with different nutes with Autos, and just started someSour Cracks AutoPots And Biotabs, transplanted them tonight! Good luck, I am glad I switched to Autos, but expect changes in how you grow. Be willing to change. Give them an honest shot, I am impressed with Autos....but I am far from dialed in. My photos are dialed in perfectly. I can see the advantages of autos, and it is worth putting the effort into them. Do some research on this site. Ask questions. Good people on here, willing to help. Good luck, slow

Thank you for the warm welcome! I won't be running them until my current run of photo's finish up but I'm planning them to be next run as I'll have enough flowers saved up by then to play around. I've been doing a little snooping around here and learning. At this point I ask myself "Why haven't I tried these before?". Still hard to believe how fast they finish. It's incredible. I can see where it might take time to dial them in a bit. Seems like if one overfeeds or causes some type of issue it's hard to bounce back because the plant is on limited time. Good tips concerning the calmag and distance with those autocobs. I feel like that might add to more proof that those autocobs truly are intense. I love messing around so I'll be sure to give all of these strains a run in good time. When I do I'll post up a journal of some sort as well. Here's what I got as these seemed like some solid choices.

Dutch Passion: (3) Think Different
Dinafem: (1) White Cheese
Fast Buds: (2) LSD-25, (1) Stardawg, (1) Grapefruit

Those cobs sure are versatile. Lowering and raising individual cobs, as well as adding or decreasing the amount depending on lighting needs. Very cool. Just from the brief time I've been researching auto's I can agree there are many advantages. Right on for the tips and love guys!

Hey so great to meet you!! Is that a Durban poison photo you are growing? Ooo I love the outdoor Durban I grew out this summer. Awesome tastes and smells! Nice strain choices on the autos!! Good luck on all of your grows!

Right on! That photo in the top picture is Deadhead OG. I love durban poison as well! I had actually considered getting a Dutch Passion Auto Durban with my lot but I wanted to check out some other strains.
