Hello again my growing friends , when i was out searching for a new place to put my girls the other day i came acreoss a field with 9 ft tall sugar cane like plants in ????? this field looked perfect to grow in but it was obviously a farmers crop of some sort so i went home and searched the net for what crop it was and it turned out to be " ELEPHANT GRASS " this stuff is a bio fuel that is planted then cropped in the spring but gets left alone till then and also once planted is left in the soil for 20 years !! so it is a perfect opposit cycle to the green goddess we all love so much , also when cut in the spring it just regrows so the field does not go throgh the ploughing ect so my thinking is next year as soon as the farmer has taken the bales of elephant grass from this field my girls will be going in 
......
this stuff grows in clumps and has big areas in between each clump to plant the ladies and in areas altho this stuff is very high it seems to have not grown so well , just walk into the grass about 10ft and you become invisible appart from above ,
in the next week i will be moving my plants into this field so i hope my research is correct ,
anyway i just wanted to share this bit of information with everyone as i hear from the internet this crop is becoming verry popular in uk as it is very labour unintensive all the farmer does is cut and bale it every spring then thats it it gets left all through till next spring with no fertilisers or weeding to harm our girls , also the roots from this grass are very shallow and wont interfere with our roots , this crop seems to be the perfect crop to grow the green with ,
tell me your thoughts on this please am i missing anything here ?
obviously there is the obvious threat from being caught by the farmer but that to me seems to be the only negative ?
