Hi AFN!! First off I have to say this site is amazing and very informative!!:clap:

I'am new to indoor growing. I've recently built my first stealth indoor growbox. It measures 42"H x 19"W x 26"D and is using a powerstrip near top with (2) 6500 watt CFL's and (2) 2700 watt CFL's, a dual port airpump, (2) 120mm computer fans wired to a 12 volt wall charger(1 exhaust and 1 intake), wrapped in insulated mylar, a 10 gallon resevoir with (8) 3" net pots with hydroton and rockwool. I'll be using Advanced Nutrients Jungle Juice micro, grow,and bloom(pictured on top of box)

So there's my box i described. Any advice, comments, or input on my box would be greatly appreciated AFN!!!! :pimp:

At 12:30pm yesterday I started the germination process of (3) Lowryder #2 seeds I got from Herbies. I did this by placing them on damp(not soaked) papertowels and then placing them in a ziplock sandwich bag, then placed on a small plate with another plate covering the one plate. I checked them today 24 hours later and no roots are sprouting out.:cry: Ive heard to wait 2-4 days and check daily. I have them in the dark inside the box ontop of the resevoir. Not sure if im just being impatient or ive done something wrong. I hope not!! Starting to wonder if i shouldve just put them in a cup of water. Not sure what to do. Anybody have any input?? Also the seeds are rather tiny. Not very fat but are dark with a few tiny black spots.

Happy growing and smoking AFN!!!!:toke::toke::toke::toke::toke::group::group::group:

sounds like your on the right path here man youll want to get those lights closer to your setup probably within a a foot, and those are light temps not the watts, you should have at least 100w per plant for something substantial. and be patient with the seeds, ive had trouble with germing also but dont play with them and keep em moist not wet. youll be up and running by sunday if all goes well. :bong:

Hey Casper, welcome to AFN! :smokebuds:

Nice work on your stealth box bro!! :thumbs::thumbs: You should be able to grow some lovely ladies in there. The majority of my experience is with soil growing, but there are others who will be able to chime in and help you out on your first grow. :gthumbs:

Germing seeds takes the patience of a saint. :lol: Give it some more time, they should crack soon. You can help speed up this process by putting the bag in a spot with an ambient temperature of 78-80 degrees.

Looking forward to following along as you start off on your magical journey! :smokeit: :smokebuds:

Hey Casper,

I am a first time grower but I've had great success germing my seeds thus far, just germed my second set this past weekend. My germ method is the same as yours, however I leave them in a closet for three days. Now, I've noticed that the more water used the quicker they germ as the roots seemed to be on a search for water once the shell is cracked. On my next go round I'm just going to germ for two day as the tap root becomes long and makes it difficult to plant because I'm scared I'm going to damage it. But some even come of the shell, I even had one plant sprout the very next day. Check me out, like I said I am a first time grower so maybe my mistakes will help you.

@ Mclovin. Thanks for the insightful response to my post. I think im going to drill holes about a foot above the resevoir bro! :D That way I can adjust the height as needed when they take off. The powerstrip is only held with zipties. So it wouldnt be too bad to adjust. I'll keep you posted!!

@Kindredspirit... Thanks alot bro!! Im glad to be here!!:dance2:
Think im gonna put them about a foot in front of a space heater on my bedroom floor since there covered with a plate on a plate. Sound good?

Thanks Amourad!!!:bong: :smokebuds:I'm about to check you out now!! Add me if you'd like!!
