Hey guys I'm testing something out here (oh boy, right?)
I promise this one shouldn't break anything this time, but what I wanted to do is try out an "extended set" of permissions for the growers here when it comes to posting their OWN content.
So we're going to attempt to allow these new permissions for registered users (and we'll be doing some bug hunting I'm sure,) but it should give you guys and gals way more flexibility when it comes to your own threads/posts that you create.
The new permissions to start are tentatively:
Edit First Post - Exactly as it sounds, if you're the thread starter, this will allow you to edit your 1st post of the thread.)
Edit Own Post - This will allow you to edit any of your posts in YOUR threads (beyond the 1st post.) This does NOT allow you to edit posts of others.
Edit Own Threads - This will allow you to edit the thread title.
Lock/unlock Own Threads - This will allow you lock/unlock your OWN threads. For those of you that wanted to post a journal with no distractions, no comments? You can do that now.
Can edit polls in own thread - This will allow you to edit in a poll into your own existing threads (normally requires a brand new thread to be created.)
This should allow quite a bit more flexibility/freedom for both members/vendors alike, so if you make mistakes or forget to edit something in; now you have that ability. If you want to create grow journals with no chatter, that should now be a possibility. You'll have the ability to edit a lot of your own stuff!
That said, we have the ability to read ALL edit/history of PUBLIC posts on the public forum. So if you get drunk some night, call everyone terrible things, and think an edit will save you, well... don't test your luck.
Anyway, I've just made the changes here and we'll be testing it out, please let me know if there are any issues or if you can't find the edit buttons for some reason.
