Hey i see no reason to if you could maybe use both HPs and led, I use the 300w mars hydro light you're talking about and love it , in fact I have 2 panels if I decide to enlarge my space

I'd love to use both!! I have a heat issue as is due to a small
space... That's why I wondering about the led panel. It would really
help things out if I could use the led instead without sacrificing yield
and quality.... Thank you for your info

Ehh idk how much equates to what in HPs, when it comes to mars hydro, if you looks the web site it tells you how many feet it covers go on that not the wattage. Personally I use 2 300w panels and have had a lot of success and love them as if I were to use HP's i would need to waste more money on cooling, as my problem isn't like a lot of people on here who need to warm up there cab cuz its too cold. Mine I have to cool because its too hot outside , so led my grow much more efficient

I have two of the Mars-hydro 300 watt old models and they kick out plenty of light for up to 6 plants. I love mine. My only suggestion if you go LED and purely my HO, I say hang a few 13 watt uvb lights in your room during flowering. To me all us "growing for personal use" people it is a no brainer to go LED. I will say though I live where it never gets below 40 degrees and is usually hot and I was constantly fighting high temps in my room until I went LED. I can see the heat from HIDs helping if you live North.
