two plants:

maxi bloom hempys 4 liter pots 75/25= perlite/vermiculite. my tap water is 7.2 ph, mixed feed is the supplied scoop 1 tsp / gallon gets me piss yellow on the ph drops so 6.0 i have a variable range litmus paper coming today. I had a pen but it never agreed with the grotek ph drops then it got smashed . temp is 72-78 +/- 2° humidity varies but 40-50 can touch 35 if it gets real dry here. Light is sun/led variable ratio but they have been hardened off since just after topping at 14 days .

I think hempy style should be around 5.8 to 6.2. That's where I kept mine, 7.2 is way high.dwc style.
I don't know about the nutes but 1 tsp. per gallon is a lot I think at that stage, whats your ppm's ?
I would do a really good flush with just ph water for a day, then next day add nutes.
I'm no hempy guy,i'm just chopping my first hempy Friday.
good luck

Use Rain water. Its 6.0 en dont use too much water...autoflowers dont like wet shoes.. They must find water thats beter for the roots

Yeah thanks i'm sorry to clarify my tap water is 7.2 . When fertilizer and silica are added ph is 6.0 that is fed to plant . I dont have a tds meter but from what I have read on a lucas hempy thread its depending on water ro water is 800 ppm high ppm tap is 1200. my tap water is 150mg/l tds same as ppm so 950 ppm feed. These have had roots to the reservoir since day 12. I have dried them out since first posting still showing growth but still pointing to roots. but yellowing on lower leaf similar to over water never seen this in hempy buckets . I dont think autos are for me .

I did flush the day after I had seen the drooping I thought maybe I fed from the 1/4 strength jug it has a higher ph for garden plants. Run off was ph 6.2 maybe 6.4 hard to tell not digital.

will snap a picture in a few

Oh ok. Sorry i misunderstood. Yeah 6.0 is good.
Well i do dwc but did do this one hempy, just perlite though in a bucket with a hole in the side about 1 1/2 inches.
My problem was watering to much too .
I got the green algae growing and then knats moved in.
Anyway i would water in along the side of the bucket only to keep the top dry with a layer of rototon on top.
Thay do look overwatered too though.
Dont quite understand these ppms because i have very hard water at 140 ppms -well water.
I must use a different scale ppm meter.
Well hopefully the flush worked.
The only other is maybe pythium, hope not and im still new to hempy.
I know dwc and think im going to stay that way.
Chopping my hempy tomorrow morning and wont do another for a while.that is another long story.
I am growing a dwc though, she's about 3 weeks old now.
Hopefully others will chime in here.
Do you use any cal/mag ?

Hi bud, I'm confused on the question lol. The one in the white bucket looked pretty good actually, is that the hempy? Green algae on the top of hempy is common apparently, it's unsightly but won't technically damage anything. Some people report that the algae dies off once the leaves block enough light. Some have used diluted Hydrogen Peroxide to kill the algae, I don't remember the dilution dosage but it was really low. It can be researched around here though. (note: in soil a Hydrogen Peroxide application will also kill off beneficial bacteria and mycorizzae, but your not going to have much or any of that in hempy.)

Actually that just reminded me, I think it was user Sniper who once mentioned that trying to add myco to some hempy may have caused his algae.

Anyway, the soil gnats are tricky buggers but easy to kill. There's tons of options for this. These also are more annoying than damaging, but the baby worm larvae can eat roots. I use Neem meal in soil and neem oil on standby for emergency spraying, haven't had the gnats return in a couple years since having neem around. Diluted neem oil could be sprayed onto the top of a hempy bucket and the flies will be gone in a week or two.

Thanks for the info about algae and knats.
I ended up putting a layer of dia. Earth on top.
Read it cuts the larvae up.
Think i'll stick to my cabinet and dwc.
Dont think those are his problems though.
But helped me out, thanks

Yeah the white was before painting pots just after topping same plants just 10 days later day 25 today

mg/l = ppm so my tap water plus nutes = 950 ppm

yeah I have over watered in the past in soil the foliage gets soft mine is getting paper like.

I had a cover to slow evaporation/stop alge but this three day dry out did nothing except dry out algae on surface of media.

Still the same. drooping but growing I wonder for how long .

not sure of pythium but i dont think so? If it is, it is but ... I dont dechlorinate my water it seems to keep my hempies clean and fungus / bug free at least in the past .
