Hi Everyone-

I'm a 60 year old woman who is totally new at this. My husband of 70 has Parkinson's and we have found edibles help him with sleep, spasms and tremors. You can imagine at his age this is really going out on a limb! I decided to give autos a try, hoping they are easy to grow.

So far had 3 plants in a pot, my cat ate 2 and 1 died from my lack of knowledge. Since then I got a small grow tent, more seeds, T5 lights and Fox Farm soil and nutes. I now have 2 short riders growing but both are in 1 pot. They just looked so little! I thought this would be fine. Not!

Next found this site and have been reading a lot! FD's journal is amazingly full of good info! I hope I can emulate his ideas. Since then started low girl, 3 plants, each in their own, not quite 1 gallon pot. I turned the tent on it's side to get more height, should be able to grow 6 plants easily and am trying to stagger the grow. The two in 1 pot look good, 1 seedling coming along nicely and 2 seeds just popping the surface. I have 2 T5 light tubes going, 1 for veg, 1 for flower, on 20/4. Temp averages 77 and humidity averages 40. Have a small fan that runs continuously.

Anyway, thank you for reading and if you have any suggestions they would be so appreciated. My main concern is ease, continuous supply and lots of shake for butter as you can't find it to buy and hate to waste bud on making butter. If you have better ideas I welcome them. We find edibles works a bit better for him for sleep. Smoking helps in the moment but since his dopamine receptors are compromised due to death by Parkinson's he has to smoke quite a bit.

Thank you again. This is such a friendly site, gave me enough courage to post.

Sounds like after some bumps, that you're off to a decent start.

Edibles are great! We have a section for that as well as a medicinal section too. I think you'll like it there. Browse around and let us know if you need anything at all. :D
Take care.
