I have 4 plants that are 71 days from seed. Just got a 420 scope today. Most of the trichs are cloudy with a few still clear.
Pistols are nearing 50% amber.
This is my 1st ever grow.
Need help determining when to flush and harvest.
Coco/perilite mix
General hydro trio
400 hps

Generally i start flushing(7-10days) when i see the trichs being mostly all cloudy. That usually leaves me with 20%amber trichs on harvest.

That reinforces my thought of feeding them one more time and then douching them....

Sometimes i stagger on until i get the right amount of amber i like(20%). Few strains act the same in final maturation. Better to flush a bit early than too late. Can always ride the end with little nutes, and at least that way you get a nice clean smoke.

Picture a bit fuzzy there so it's hard to tell. I like all cloudy with some amber. I noticed you said pistils are amber, not quite sure on that. It is the trichomes themselves that will start to amber. So you should see almost if not all trichomes cloudy and some starting to turn that dark amber color, you will also notice some of the heads start to fall off them too. For me this is just about where I like them.
I am one of the not flushers. I alternate feed and water so just chop a few days after the last water, sort of a mini flush. IOW don't stress on it. Start you flush if you want and chop when the look good to you.

I alternate with straight H20 as well.
Today they are ready for more water and normally scheduled for nutes.
I think I will take your advice and just give H20.
