Hi there everyone

As you can see the topic, i am new to this forum and very happy to be here with my addicted mates:) I have been growing weed since i am 18, i learned this next to my big brothers. They have big big big but i mean very big farms:) i am talking about hundreds and hundreds kilos of hemp not marijuana. But whole process is same. I live in Turkey and the weather here more than perfect for outdoor growing, skunk just entered this country 2 years ago. Now people sell the most expensive skunk here comparing to the rest of the world(more than €20K for a kilo of skunk). Any way i have grown small amount of marijuana in my flat many times but first time i will try Auto's. I am planning to fly to Amsterdam or London for the best seed deal as none of the shops ships to this county:( I will keep you posted with my progress. Kind regards..

Welcome to AFN, Lumiere! Great introduction, Brother :) Do you know what strains of seeds you'll be looking to grow? Let us know if we can be of help. Very best to you!
:Sharing One:

Cheers my brother, thats the big issue for me as am new to auto/short strains. First of all i want o ask kindly if its the same thing for "short" and "low" phrase? because some of the strains called like "short rider" and like "low ryder" are these the same thing?
second of all, i will be starting with like 5 pots and my upstairs in my home is totally free and but not empty(some small sofa and drawers) so i have space for like 20 30 pots, but i am not sure if should do this in a tent or just in the room itself as the room is like 20 sqm2 . I want the best strains for the most yield and of course the best thc level. as far as i know cheese strains has the most thc level not sure about which one has the most yield?
3- some people say 100grams per plant for a short or lowrider is easy but its hard to believe as i grew normal outdoors and the max i got was 300gr and it was 3 meter high:) so i am mostly focused on lowryder2, short rider or blue cheese in this manner. what is your advices?
thanx in advance

Welcome to AFN Lumiere, lots of strain reviews here to help you decide what you want to grow. With so many choices you my want to first think in terms of Sativa vs. Indica dominant and CBD to THC ratios this should help narrow down the large number of choices. Good luck

Welcome to AFN Lumiere! Any questions you have, do let us know. Good luck and will be keeping an eye out for your journal.

Hey Lu

Firstly I like your photo. Charlie Chaplin is fantastic.

Secondly checkout my grow. I'm growing 20-30 plants at the moment in a room. The biggest difficulty is getting rid of the heat that the high pressure lights create. Secondly is getting rid of the humidity. I would remove any carpet and sofas and anything made of material from the room. It will likely only harbour mold and germs and be bad for the grow.

Thirdly if you want to travel to buy seed, you probably want to buy a lot of seeds. If that's the case how you store them after you buy them is very important. Ideally you want to keep them in a completely airtight container and store them in the fridge. This way they can keep for a year.

If you need any more advice just ask :)

Thanx for Quick reply, i am planing to buy around 20 to 30 seeds as i can't ship them to my country. So even it is not hydro, will you advice to so this in a tent? Tent gore is more expense( air ventilator, Carbon filters, etc) i believe making things happen in a tent rather than the whole room makes the whole provada more safe and tight? Even the room is fully empty, tent grow makes room more usebale, so what is in the tent is none of anybody's business. What about the strains you advise in this conditions? Lowryder#2 ? Short rider? I need good yield and high thc?

What kind of tent will you buy?

What kind of lights will you buy?

What kind of air ventilation will you use?

Will you grow in soil or hydro?

All of these questions are more important in my opinion that 'what strain do I buy' because most important thing is air environment, second most important thing is root environment, third most important thing is genetics. Without the first two things, third thing doesn't really matter.

I think you need to have the answers to my questions before I we start concentrating on strains to buy :)

İlk etapta AFN Hoşgeldiniz

1. I was confused as to you growing outside or inside? :face:

Save yourself a few pennies and go to Amsterdam for your seeds. Turkish Airlines flights are slightly cheaper to the Dam than London! (Maybe some extra free seeds?)

2. Please, get your grow area sorted! You have a lot more to worry about than genetics/THC!!

Sit back chill, think and then move?

Peace and Love :peace:

MikeyB.
