Hello fellow smokers/Growers

I live in Sydney Australia and I'm a total noob but i have done as much research as possible and would like some experienced and hopefully positive input.

I received some auto seeds (sweet seeds red poison, Delicious seeds Northern light blue) which i will be growing in soil outdoors, and since I am on a super tight budget and its my first time so I wanted to throw down 2 testers.

I germinated the 2 testers and due to budget could only afford Some regular Hortico organic based potting mix(http://www.hortico.com.au/products/potting/hortico-all-purpose-blend-potting-mix/) and some perlite. So i prepared and made a 50/50 mix and planted the seedlings.

I know that Autoflower yields greatly depend on soil and sunlight so i am a bit worried about this budget soil mix. I will be able to afford some nutes in about 2 weeks.

Please share your opinion and let me know if you think they're are gonna be ok and if you know how to get the best out of autos on a tight budget.

Gooday! And :styles rasta:

Most potting soils contain enough goodness to last the first few weeks (enough to get your seedling looking nice and healthy )so there is no need to add any nutrients, as you have said your going to get some nutrients in the next couple of weeks which should work out perfectly! Which nutrients are you going to use?( i grow on a budget using biobizz and it works a treat) Never had to add perlite as the soil i use has it already but it sounds like your well on your way to having some amazing plants!! Looking forward to seeing some pictures :)

Good luck with your grow bud peace :peace:

Welcome to AFn Eddie:smokebuds: Ive not seen that soil before but ive had a look and it seems fine.. If your on a tight budget get your self some bio bizz fishmix and use it from start to finish of your grow.. Or by some grow bloom and molasses :smokebuds:

Another paranoid Noobish question

:coffee break:
The seedlings are just starting to penetrate the surface soil and the next few nights are forecast for rain and 10 degrees Celcius lows ? will they be ok ? I would have loved to start them off inside but i can't(10 degree lows aren't going to be frequent as Sydney Spring heats up fast) .

I am also worried about over watering at this point ,Is once a day to often while they are sprouting ?

That is pretty low for such a young plant but I would be worried more about the rain beating the crap out of them at that age. Are they in pots where you can get them under some cover somewhere? If they aren't too big you can put popsicle sticks in the soils and wrap it in plastic wrap to keep the rain and cold off of them.
