Hey Guys.

I have today finished off my wardrobe set up and fired it up for the first time to test it all and temperatures etc before i put my first AF seeds in shortly..

My space is 60cm x 50cm x 100cm. It is lined in Mylar and I have a 125w cfl with both different colour lamps for veg and flower. I also have a little desk top fan at the bottom just for a bit of air movement. I have a 4 inch in-line fan for exhaust in the top corner and a passive hole in the bottom corner that is 6 inches x 6 inches..

My main question to ask is the 6 x 6 inch hole about the right size for a passive intake when i have a 4 inch exhaust? At the moment it seems to be between 27 and 28 Degree (which is about 80-82.5F i believe) Is this about the right temperature or do i need to have a bigger intake to reduce it a bit? i have also made a right angle from cardboard from the intake to help with the light spill.

Other than that it all seems so far so good. My water is filtered and ph6.7 when left in the bottle with the cap off overnight which is cool. I have no light spill form my cupboard but i must admit that the inline fan is noisier than i thought it would be, seems to vibrate through the house!!

Anyway thanks for reading and thanks in advance for any responses and thanks for the site - i have gained a hell of a lot of knowledge and help to get me this far!

Welcome to AFN man, your grow set up sounds almost ideal for a grow. Your 6x6 passive intake is fine for a 4" diameter exhaust. Try to reduce the temps down to about 75-78 at the highest, if you can't - you can't. The plants will still do fine you're just out of the "ideal" temp.

Don't forget, 6.3 is ideal soil pH not 6.7!

Simple answer; you're fine, perfect set up so far.. now take some photos and share your masterpiece with us!

yes sir bud a picture is worth a thousand word's.......and most of us loady's just plain like it..haaaa ha ha

Ok, hopefully those photos have come out....

What do you think...

Also what is the best way to get the temperature down a little bit to the 'ideal' category

Thanks

I dont know why but the photos are on there side and i cant get them to not do it!! sorry...

my fan also vibrated through my house. I just cut a small piece of insulation foam board and put it under the fan. it helped alot

maybe a pc fan over your bottom inlet to help force some of your out side cooler air in.....or cut another inlet in it some where , or if you dont need compleat stelth leave the door cracked.

That is a great looking setup you have made yourself:smokebuds:im with goauto, see about setting another little fan by that opening. Much luck and looking forward to that cab filling up with tomato plants:rofl:. Yeah right:thumbs: You are gonna have some nice dank in your future

One Love to you:peace:

Another question - when measuring the temperature in the space is it best to have the probe on the floor at the bottom of the cupboard or at the height that the top of the plant will be at?
