I tortured them in the name of science as I try to dial in a new nutrient line. Your plants really do/did not look that bad.

This is your thread. I moved the post over here so we could have a conversation and you could meet other growers. I just want to gather pictures in the blog thread. Getting perfect examples of problems has turned out to be harder than I thought but I am in no hurry.

Thanks! Been lurking for a couple of months gleaning info along with watching YT vids. Last grow was some dirt weed back in the 70's. Legal here now, don't have to work anymore, staying close to home due to pandemic so thought I would try growing some smoke. I wanted something fairly easy and quick so I thought I would give autoflowers a try. First was a Six Shooter by FastBuds. Indoors using a 3 gal fabric pot with Happy Frog and NLS mixed for a living soil grow and watered with distilled water. Supposedly a water only water grow. Boy was I in for shock. Wound up trashing it as it went into 10 weeks with buds not finishing out and no frost. Started a second grow with Zkittles from FastBuds. 3 gal fabric with Happy Frog and NLS Autoflower blend. Using bottled spring water ph'd to 6.2. Saw some leaves starting to yellow about 2 weeks into flower so top fed some Cavern Culture for added phosphorous. Continued to have yellowing leaves and brown spots started showing up. Plucked the mostly yellow leaves and gave her a tea of molasses and NLS Girl Flower Power (aerated). Seemed to get better and slow down deficiencies/lockout (don't what the problem was at this point). Hit day 56 this past week and buds looking good with good frost. Trichomes are cloudy with a few ambers. Giving her another week and then chopping her. So the second time around was better but I still need to get a good grow regimen down for future grows. That's why I'm on here several times a week to see what others are doing. I have two 5 gal pots cooking for the next grows in several weeks. One inside and one outside. Trying a different soil mixture and using tap water (conditioned). Hoping to learn from others here. Living in Aridzona I need to get the outdoor grow going soon before the hot temps kick in. Inside I'm using a Mars Hydro 2.3x2.3x5 grow tent setup. 4 inch fan, 6 inch reciprocating fan, small humidifier. I'm only growing for myself and a plant or two at time. I saw the price of bud at the dispensary and told myself "grow your own". Dispensary purchases as emergency only.

I used a usb/wireless digital microscope with my ipad. Picked it up on amazon.

Which one did you get, specifically? I bought one of those on Amazon, too, and I had to return it because (a) my phone and the microscope only connected once in roughly 50 attempts, and (b) it stopped turning off the first day I got it. I like the concept and would get another one if I was more confident in the quality.

Uses wifi and I use handheld and move it around. I had a cheaper one but the focus knob was binding making it difficult to focus. Spent a few dollars more and bought a better one. I use it with my phone and ipad. I like it.
