I harvested 9 Nirv Sh Riders about four months ago.

I had very good results.

Before I talk about the actual grow, I have to comment about Nirvana's customer service.

I first contact Nirvana in Dec., 2011. I placed 4 separate orders that covered 8 different strains. I made multiple orders to prevent losing all the seeds to a postal service seizure. I used a credit card.

Nirvana fukked around and fukked around (for example, they claimed it was "suspicious" that one person was placing so many orders and required that I e-mail them a pdf of my credit card) and held up the orders for more than a month. Nirvana's inefficiency would later cause a disasterous delay in my garden later on - the growing season ENDS here where I live in June when it gets to be 100 degrees. I had about 10 sativas that would not finish flowering b/c it got so hot. If Nirvana had just shipped the seeds when I paid for them (like all other seed companies do), I would have had a much better harvest because the sativas would have finished in May.

The first two seed orders arrived at my house about a week after Nirvana shipped them. Although Nirvana sent me an e-mail saying orders #3 and #4 had been shipped, they never arrived. I contacted Nirvana by e-mail to inquire about the missing shipments. For almost three weeks, Nirvana simply ignored every e-mail I sent them!!! This was completely crazy-making because the days of the growing season were passing me by.

Finally Nirvana replyed to my inquiries about #3 and #4. They pointed out some fine print on a "terms and conditions" web page and blah, blah blah. I told them I did not believe that they had ever shipped the seeds and that I wanted to see proof that they had ever actaully shipped out the seeds - they just ignored this request of mine. Instead, Nirvana asked if I still wanted the strains I had originally ordered. I told them "no, just give me my money back". Nirvana refused! Instead Nirvana offered to "split the difference" so to speak: Nirvana claimed that they had truly shipped me orders #3 and #4 but "they must have been lost in the mail" then Nirvan offered to send me TWO packs of any seed I wanted (remember I had paid for 4 x 5 fem seeds already). Because I was now facing a shortened season, I asked Nirvana to send me two five packs of fem Short Riders.

Once again, the e-mails from Nirvana went black for over a week.

Finally I lost patience and contacted my credit card company and reversed the credit card charges for orders #3 and #4. The next day, without any comment or anything, Nirvana shipped me ten Short Rider seeds.

A few days later those cheeky bastards sent me a really nasty e-mail informing me that I was "blacklisted" and that Nirvan never wanted to do business with me again because I had reversed the credit card charges for the seeds I never recieved.

Anyhow, (having learned never to do biz with those stoned-out amateurs ever again) a few days later I received the Short Rider Seeds.

By the time I received the SR seeds, I had a photoperiod grow already well under way. I only had time to 20/4 the SR seeds for a week or ten days or so, then I had to shift them all to 12/12.

To make a long story short (and as much as I despise Nirvana), nine out of ten Short Rider fem seeds germinated and turned out GREAT under 12/12 in Miracle Grow coir soil with chem fertilyzers under a 400w HID and a 600w HID. The Short Riders turned out to be wonderfully happy surprises! (Fortunately I had ordered some seeds from another seed company also, and out of the 4 Nirvana strains I actually received and grew, surprisingly, the Kaya turned out very well, the AK48 was okay, the Bubbleicious and Super Skunk were COMPLETE failures)

I was really surprised by the quantity and stoniness of the Short Riders (remeber, I grew them under 12/12 too). By the time I harvested them, I had such a poor opinion of Nirvana that I did not expect much quality from anything associated with Nirvana, but I was wrong. There was good quantity, they smelled great, and they had nice frosty buds. I remember getting up one Saturday morning and sampling a phat Short Rider bud then setting off in my car on some errand and realizing that I was so stoned I could barely drive.

I have searched the internet many many times for Short Rider smoke reports and I am continually amazed at the mediocre reputation of this strain. All I got to say is that they worked great for me. They were fast and easy to grow.

If I was going to buy them again, I would probably order them thru Attitude - it costs more, but Nirvana's customer service was a huge headache.

have grown several nirvana short riders. they are an easy strain and good yields. the smoke is different that other indicas. it has a head high and doesn't leave me looking for a couch.

Nirvana has always done me right. You can also get nirvana short riders from Attitude. I have 2 in my current grow that are doing extremely well at 20days and really starting to take off, bushy with alot of side branches. I have not taken any recent pics but here is one at 7days :D

Out of the 10 I grew, none autoflowered. I was well annoyed!!! I ended up vedging 1 for 12 weeks and I was a monster!!! :)
Quite a nice relaxing smoke.
It's just a shame I had to run them all on 12/12 as I felt that they were lacking something and would of been a lot punchier run on 18/6.
Because of the problems I personally will never go with Nirvanna seeds again.

I would have to agree with Bonzo. Their customer service is poor to par at best. The short ryder on the other hand is an easy grow with some of the largest trichs you will see. And a powerful smoke as well.

Wow! that's a really crappy experience you had there, sorry to hear that. I've grown their blue mystic auto on two occasions and despite one of these grows giving me my best ever yield it wasn't a particularly great end result in terms of quality, not bashing the breeders genetics here as it could be completely down to myself but i hit exactly the same problems with this plant at exactly the same time on two seperate grows, i was ready for it 2nd time round and did things a little differently but the plant reacted in exactly the same way. The blue mystic is getting me high right now so can't complain too much but i can't wait for my next harvest so i can have something tasty to smoke! I won't be rushing to grow their strains in the near future.
