Nitrogen poisoning

Nitrogen poisoning is often referred to as "Claw" and is caused by overfeeding your hemp plant with nitrogen. Five people understand this problem when the tips of the leaves curl down like a claw. Nitrogen poisoning slows it down and eventually causes the leaves to turn yellow and die.

How Is It Treated:
As the name suggests, Nitrogen poisoning is caused by too much nitrogen being supplied to the plant. Cannabis plants need a lot of nitrogen during the veg. But once they are in flower, they need much lower nutrient levels. If you see claw symptoms, check the NPK ratios on the foods you use. To remedy the situation, don't use or reduce nutrients with high N ratios. At this point, giving your plants the next 4-5 irrigation water by adjusting the pH of water without fertilizer or flushes the problem.

Wind Burn
In terms of air flow, all your plants need is a pleasant breeze and proper ventilation. Good airflow can help prevent problems such as mold while regulating temperature and humidity levels.

What are the symptoms of windburn?

Windburn in plants

Twisted growth
Smaller buds and low yield
Insufficient growth
Red or purple stems

Windburn on leaves

Curls up or down
The edges burn
Yellowish spots appear on the leaf
Pallor
Floppy

Windburn symptoms can be confused with other diseases such as nitrogen poisoning, over irrigation, less irrigation, heat stress. If you think your plants are getting too much air, you probably are. Check the plants farthest from the fans - if they look less problematic than the closest plants, chances are they are windburn.

Start tackling windburn by adjusting the fan and fan settings in your homies cabin.

Make sure all plants are exposed to wind that can gently move their leaves. If your plants are outdoors, you can make a windbreak using a plant support rod.

Prune damaged leaves in hopeless cases I think they are better if they are not corrected

how to prevent windburn

Do not plant 4 plants in the area where 2 plants will be planted. Plants need space to breathe and grow.
Use fans with multiple speed settings in the cab. Having variable fan speed options will allow you to adjust the wind speed as needed for your cannabis plants. The fan that I use has a natural mode. It works fast for 3 seconds. It works slowly for 5 seconds. It stops for 3 seconds. I do not remember the brand, I write when I look.
Point the fans against the wall so that the air does not hit the leaves of the plant directly. ventilation is provided in this way, it does not necessarily have to be at the bottom.
Let your leaves move gently instead of shaking vigorously.

Over-watering cannabis plants

Water is essential to life; Nothing thrives without water, but like everything else, too much of a good thing can be harmful.

Small plants over-watering

After the germination phase is over, the plants go to the seedling phase.

At this point, you have to be very careful as it is one of the toughest moments in the life of plants as they are so small and fragile. Any serious mistake can cause premature death. Start with 20 ml, depending on the growth of your plant, you will increase up to 750 ml in the first 20 days

If you over-water a plant in a large pot, the plant will not develop roots to find moisture because it has a constant supply.

If it cannot meet this need, the plant gets used to this lifestyle and does not form too many roots, negatively affects its growth, stops growing or grows too little.

If excess irrigation continues for a long time, the inability of the roots to receive oxygen will become a problem.

Since there is no oxygen in the roots, they will gradually rot and change from a clear white to a dark brown color, and the entire root system will rot. As the roots begin to rot, you will notice that the plant turns a lighter green color as if it suffers from a nitrogen deficiency, but the main problem is that the plant cannot absorb any nutrients.

If the problem of overwatering is not resolved, deadly fungi such as Pithium or Fusarium can attack the seedlings. It can be said that it is very difficult to fight these mushrooms after they settle in the soil.

Another point to be highlighted is that each plant can exhibit more or less resistance to root rot, even if they have the same genetics. The same applies to the different types of cannabis, as they all have different degrees of resistance.

We are entering the adult stage. The plant has already developed a strong root system and can now handle water better. However, lack of oxygenation can lead to root rot at any time if it is over-watered over a long period of time.

To avoid these problems, you should avoid using large amounts of water that will not allow the soil to dry in less than 2-3 days. I pour 3lt water into a 19lt pot, the cabin temperature dries at 28 degrees 3 days, someone pours 7lt into a 19lt pot, then says it did not dry for 1 week :) If you give a little, the soil dries early, and if you pour the water when it dries, even if you pour 500ml, it flows from the drain, I recommend at least 1lt entering the flower If you give the plant too little water, salinization will occur. In other words, you should water your plant twice a week, or even better, three times a week. However, it is easier to control irrigation this way. With little and continuous watering. In this way, it will be healthier for your plant to receive nutrients.

Hold off on nutes for awhile and remove all leaves with mold.
