The plant was originally germed on 18MAR of this year, and has been growing along side my autos.. I decided I was gonna grow it out, and it appears it's starting to throw some deficiencies, no-kidding as I was about to start flower..

Soil is a somewhat homemade organic mix w/ Roots Organic as the base soil.. It appears only newest tips and foliage are affected w/ a big of interveinal chlorosis and some seriously dark purple petioles.. I haven't checked soil pH w/ the electric stick but with the soil probe, it shows me at the mid-to-upper 6.0 range.. I just top-dressed w/ fortified soil, or "super-soil" if you will..

My guesses are some micros missing, namely Fe/Mg/S, however, I could be wrong.. What do you think?? I have several things I can use to remedy this and can even make a foliar feed, if needed.. I had considered a foliar of some humic/fulvics and possibly throwing some molasses in there..

Is this a photoperiod? Do you grow under LED? I'm curious myself as I have some photoperiods with similar leaf patterns. I did a foliar epsom salt application, that didn't seem to help. Also, I gave epsom in feeds (1 tbl/gallon) which also didn't help. I recently gave a feed with a bloom booster 0-0-4 incase the chlorosis was from K def. I'll keep you posted.

Edit: Also I have been using bushdoctor microbe brew with every feed for iron supplement and other good trace stuff+microbes-which also hasn't helped. Do you water with RO/diH2O?

'JT-- good eye mate, that's looking like Fe and/or Zn defc.,.. could be lack-of, but if your in-pot pH is near 7.0, then they're locking out.... Which pH probe did you use, an Accurate 8 unit?
pending verification of that pH, it's time for micros! Earth Juice Microblast is a fine product for this, and if you have some Optic Foliar Transport, that will fix things in 1/4 of the time a standard foliar spray will,.. treat soil as well, but any foliar will be fastest.. use a wetting agent with foliar, unless it's Transport, then skip it!
You can pH down your water/feeds too, if the soil is actually high pH,... Citric acid (canning supply) works well, and isn't as harsh as the usual pH up/down chem's,...

Thanks for the response!!! I water with the local tap water which is high is Ca, but not as much in Mg, so I sorta started there, but realized after an application of a tea that didn't resolve the problem, I was looking at something else..

Looks like nitrogen def,try feeding some veg nutes and see if that helps.

I hope it's that easy to fix it because I've basically been vegging this thing for almost 3 months, and I wanna see it finish!!!

Unfortunately, no, it's not an Accurate 8, but has been sorta reliable in the past, so I think when I water the plant this afternoon, I'll take out the digi-stick and see what we have.. The probe looks like it's hovering higher in the 6's (6.7, 6.8), but even that sounds high for soil.. I know the town states their tap water is only +/-0.3 from 7.0.. Next watering, I may actually give it a life tea to see if that may help any..

Thanks for the help and I'll let you guys know what I find!!!

lower pH water will help, teas might be acidic too,... pH is funny sometimes,..not always does the plant experience lock-out when the pH is near 7.0, there are other affective variables in play,... soil is best around 6.3, give or take, 6.5 you start hawking the pH for further drift up,... a nice gentle pH down is citric acid (canning supply), even a tiny amount can have strong affect on water that 170ppm (like ours here),... that OF stuff is excellent, check out the Optic Foliar section, of the Cannazone review I did on Transport + EJ Microblast- :wiz: ... holy poop tea, never ever had Fe/Zn defc. stopped like that so quickly!

My next questions to you were regarding foliar feedings, as I feel like that would be the true test of know what my deficiency is... I gave it a "life" tea earlier, mostly microbes and some molasses but I also snuck some liquid kelp as it seemed like a great micro supplement.. I guess tomorrow will be a good day to find out!!!!!!! lol

I can't honestly thank you and all of those who throw their wisdom into this salad of life enough!!!!!!!!!! The fact that you guys are friendly and cool as fuck make it even better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hence the reason this is the ONLY forum I frequent on the interwebz!!!!!!!

:greenthumb: ...molasses and kelp extract are good choices mate- :d5: , if no dedicated micro' supp' is on hand,... Molasses has significant amounts of Ca and Mg, some K, a little Fe too,...sugare will ramp up the soil herd, which benefits the plants indirectly,... kelp extract should have a variety of micro's, bit brand to brand, processing, and actual amounts are rather variable, and usually not nearly as conc. as a dedicated supp', but then again, they're call "micronutes" for a reason, right? :eyebrows:
:pass: Thanks JT, we appreciate the praise for sure my man! And we do note and feel the same of our good AFN citizens like yourself,... :d5:

After a couple applications of some teas and advice from you guys, looks like she's bouncing back beautifully!!!! Thanks again to everyone who threw in some wisdom!!!!!!!!

PS - The camera made some of the leaves look yellowish.. I can assure you, the plant looks VERY happy!!!! Most of the old petioles are still purple, but everything new is nice and green!!!

Sorry man, I'm an idiot.. I "liked" it, but never responded.. After a couple treatments of microbes/micros/macros, I've been able to get the plants to bounce back.. It's a photo NLxBB quirk.. I do grow under COB but I also have an HPS in there.. I did both the Epsoms and foliar feeds to no avail.. pH and lack of nutrients lead me to bulking up and now everything looks great!!
