I had an Auto Assassin that grew huge and wouldn't flower, when I flipped the lights it did.

mine did the same thing hit close to 5.5 feet.

Yup, it does happen. Last summer I had two different autos that never flowered until I chucked 'em outside with the photos.
Not sure why it happens. You can buy top strains from reputable seedbanks and just once in a while, they behave like photoperiod plants. It is fairly rare, thank goodness, but it does happen.
Don't beat yourself up about it. Just a fact of life.

no but really a JD low ryder should flower fast and not be very big.

No it was all mossy.. He never crossed it..
