UPDATE:

Well dudes, I am now pushing my luck, but honestly the worst that could happen is an early chop. I figured I spent about 300$ total getting this grow all sorted, and a harvest of around half an O (which is wishfully thinking) would still have me below the profit margin. Obviously i'm not selling my bud, but 300 bucks and 2 and a half months of work didn't really work out in my mind.

SO, since May is the last I will see my grow box, since I am moving out of the country... I figured I'm going to start one more plant. I can't really wait until this one finishes, because that may not leave me enough time to finish the new plant.

I figured fuck it, and started another Polar Express in a pretty small container, a bit more than half of the 1 gallon I have now, and put it in my box with my blooming plant. (it is 6 in tall) And plus this new plant, will help the first one grow faster, in my mind, because I won't be 100% focused and waiting for it to finish and risking an early harvest.

I know this is not ideal conditions for the new plant. [Bloom lights, getting blocked out by the older plant, and smaller container] But, why not, I have nothing to lose.

Same soil and perlite as the original plant.

I do have a couple questions though....

Should I switch one of my 3 bloom lights for a veg light? Or will that lower the yield of my first plant. Right now my priorities are the first plant, so if it does, I will keep all the lights at bloom.

Also, the loudness of the PC fans will also determine the successfulness of my new plant, since relatives are moving in around mid April, that are not so fond of the Jane. Right now they are two Antec pc fans. Would it be worth buying extra quiet fans? I did unscrew one of them just to hear how loud it is stand alone, and it seemed considerably quiet. So maybe its just the air blowing around in the box that makes all the noise.

I can't really think of anything else at the moment. I know this is a lot to read, but any advice, or tips are very much appreciated. If you have none, just sit back and enjoy the show. Because this new plant should be pretty interesting.

I would add the veg light as they need both spectrum's thru their whole life, a little red in veg with mostly blue and a little blue in bloom with mostly red. as far as the fan, if you can get a sheet of 1/16-1/8 inch thick rubber, look in a hardware store, and cut it so you can put it between your fan and the box should help with the noise. I did this and it cut down the noise dramaticly.hope this help's

Alright, so after all that effort into getting the most out of money, I guess I forgot about priorities. And for me right now is stealth. Unfortunately, an unwanted visitor came by and noted my room smelled funky. The suspicion arises indeed. This is defiantly someone I would not want knowing about my Mary Jane. So I'm afraid I'm looking at a pretty early harvest. I am going to try and push her as far as I can, but I would not say more than a week maybe 2 at most. This really sucks, but it was after all an expirament. I will update you dudes on how it goes. Peace for now

yup the smell will be our undoing. you gotta do what you gotta do bro. my smell was coming from a bad seal around the fan housing,causing unfiltered air to exhast out. found this out while cleaning the cab. hopfully it's fixed now.

Sorry if this has been brought up before, but have you considered Ona gel? It should knock out any smells pretty well. You'll have to periodically repurchase but if you're trying to give her some more time it'll do the trick.

Yessir I have it right now. Currently it is the neutral scent, but it smells more like laundry detergent. Unfortunately, it might be helping, but not enough. The plant smells very spices like, and that pretty much takes over the Ona. But thanks for the idea anyway. If I have my windows open, and ceiling fan on full blast, the smell is very little. But where I am, it is far below freezing, and the windows pretty much have to stay shut.

Hey man, my box has a very poor seal, and I would not be surprised if that is apart of the problem. It is has a rough 1 cm crack along the door. But there is not much I can do about it, that was how the box was made. Pretty much taking it day by day now.

Here are some pics of the trichomes from yesterday. They seem to be cloudy but about 75% of the pistils are still white. I know it will be a disappointing yeild, but on the good side of things, my buddy is giving me a half O for my grow box, since I am moving.
I'm expecting the high to be very heady if anything, but I'm afraid I am going to have to start flushing her with just water and maybe some molasses. I'm thinking to chop this weekend, maybe sooner if the smell gets worse. Also, just a thought, what if I cut off just the main cola and the buds that look more mature and let the under growth grow more. Would that lessen the smell?

Hey dudes! I can happily say I'm grateful I could take this lady as far as she is now and hopefully a bit more. I just gave her her last water, and I'm planning to cut the lights on wed for 48 hrs then chop. I can't really risk keeping her any longer. Here are some pics.

HARVEST. Day 69

Whatsup dudes! So Monday was day 69 for my plant. Chopped her probably about a week early than what I think would have been ideal, but due to privacy issues, it had to be done.

Anyway, it has been drying for about 3 days and its final weight is 15g give or take a gram.

I met my goal, so I am very happy about that, I know I may loose a bit more weight after another day of drying, but its all good. :smoke:

The main cola was 26g wet, by far the biggest bud I've handled.

I'd also like to thank every dude on here that helped. I learned a shit ton... and am super stoked for my next grow. Probably won't be for a while though.

So as a conclusion for my experiment. It is possible to grow weed in your parents house in your bedroom as a 16 year old dude whos homeschooled but I don't recommend it at all. Peace Out BITCHYAAAS. Naw I'm playin..
