Hi folk....my first post!,
i wish to pick some minds, i haven't read all posts but once you have harvested a plant can you plant new seeds in it's place. i presume as it dies and decays it may be a good source of nutrient.

Yes, absolutely!!! It's called nutrient cycling. You can re amend and grow numerous cycles in same container. The old rootball becomes a nute bomb for the next plant.

Yup. I've been trying this out, it works great. I top dress every now and then with some Supermix from Plagron, just to enrich the soil a bit
I've been running no dig in the outdoor garden too, with some amazing results on some of my vegetables
 
thank you Ribbzzy, in the past i have diligently removed the old root system and recycled through my worms and amended the remaining soil medium but seems logical to leave in place and allow mother nature to help my girls...thank you once again....
