Aquarium Air Pump (you'll use it...trust me)
A good cam so we can see your wonderful grow
Seeds- check out our vendors! and look through our review side to find what you might like and what piques your interest Look into 70 day minus varieties....new grows are wonderful when it is faster to get your growing skills dialed in and your patience built up...
$2-3k? Loooong time of amazing greatness.

Most importantly! READ! Toooooooooonnnnnssss of info on here. Stickies are wonderful!

Welcome to AFN! Glad to have you here.
I mean this in the nicest possible way my friend, but, you need to read more. You're asking for some one to hold your hand in picking out equipment with no idea of any components of your grow. The knowledge, care and patience of the grower(s) is far more important than what you equipment you use. We can help you spend thousands of dollars, no problem, but if you don't know what you're doing, you'd have just as much luck putting your money in the compost.

3 ounces for sure off of a plant if possible
possible but doubtful on 1st time growers... not too uncommon to expect 1 oz per FEMALE plant for 70 day varieties if not seeded. If you have the patience... check out varieties like Asian Haze 120 days or so but a butt ton of finished bud or LBH and Cress have some longer and bigger varieties

i understand i have my stepfather who has grow many of plants , just not autoflower , he knows all the basics , just wants to know different steps for autos

why are there vids on youtube of people yielding like 14 ounce from 6 plants

I keep reading things like "dry yield" was 18 grams ?? I dont get it AND SOME THAT SAY 2 OUNCES

Dry yield- weight of your cropped buds after drying and curing. Your plants can lose upto 75% of weoght when you dry it and 2 ounces just means 2 ounce of bud

That's the finished, trimmed and dry result from one plant. That's what you end up with once everything is done. There are 28 grams in an ounce. Two ounces is 56 grams. It's a good idea to get familiar with the metric system when growing. It's easy, everything is based on increments of ten.
