New Grower not sure what to do next

having some issues with her growing into the CFLs ... any1 have any experience doing some light training at this point in the grow (week 7-8)? I assume it would be fine as long as I don't try and bend her in half.

She's really starting to fatten up now. I don't have good pics yet, maybe later.
It'll be week 10 next week and she doesn't look at all like she's done.
Can the whole end of the life cycle process (yellowing leaves, cloudy trichs) happen really fast?
... she's so getting sampled next week.

bit more zoomed out, got buds all down the middle, but lots of leaves at the bottom due to my excess N issue

couldn't help myself and sampled a bud last night ... now I know what they mean by early harvest = speedy high ... felt like I was on adderall. Potent for a quick-dry but pretty harsh edgey stone. What this does tell me though is that she's damn close ... think I might harvest the top in a week or so and let the bottom go another week.

From the Pic you posted 3/10 (Cant see any others) I would say you have at least two more weeks, If not longer.
Your yield will suffer significantly if you pull it early.
Too early = crappy yield and unsatisfying effect. solution- wait!
Too late = much larger yield and maybe too stoney. soultion - smoke a little less
A bit over simplistic, but I have never smoked any cannabis that had gone for too long and didn't deliver. Conversely harvested early, has been a 90 day dissappointment.

I'm with gtron2 on this. All the pistils still white. She has the structure but is not oozing yet. If that makes sense..

Yeah, totally makes sense ... and I agree with the two week timeline ... i just know I'm going to take some nugs early. 'cause ... that's just what's going to happen :smoke:. The couple buds I clipped already are sticky as all get out so I know resin production is up there.

I'm coming up on day 70 on Monday so I think it's right at the start of the harvest window and two weeks should do her well ... a minimum of 7-8 days before I even think about putting her in 48 hour darkness. The suspense is killing me though ...

thanks for the feedback m8s

so she's coming along nicely ... more bits have come off for quick dry, but I'm finding it interesting to track how the high is changing. Doesn't look like I be pulling crazy harvest since the buds are not really dense. I attribute that mostly to having too much N in my system, something I'll hopefully correct. Probably going to chop early next week.

I have developed an unexpected problem with odor. I did a DIY carbon filter but the space i'm growing in is not tightly sealed ... in particular there's no insulation on the basement ceiling so these wafts of weed smell keep escaping up through the floor. Or at least that's what I think is happening. I ordered some ONA gel & blocks and hopefully that will keep the smell under control until I have the time & money to line the ceiling with plastic which will hopefully block the smell from coming up.

So on Monday we'll be entering week 12, and here's what two weeks have done for this girl:

Lower bud sites have been pick off for sampling and some bonsai trimming occurred, but haven't touched the top kola. The leaves haven't started dying off yet, but I'm thinking about chopping her on Monday after a weekend of darkness. Or maybe I'll push it out to Thursday ... haven't decided yet.
