Ditto! You might look and see if you can add support for those branches out aways, just to help ease up the load on the damaged areas

Stalk splits wont hurt the plants....though on sensitive strains it can cause hermy issues...keep a close eye you. Also like arthur said supporting the top end weight is a good idea.
