Hello!

Two plants still fighting for life!

1.
Growers choice gorilla glue in a 3 gallon pot that was topped by a deer just as it entered flowering about a month ago.

Roots were exposed and everything…I put on my surgical mask and tried to put everything back just to see what would happen-and there’s new growth!!

The main stem has been slowly browning its way down to the new leaves and I’m waiting to see if that’s death for everything when/if it reaches the new growth. the original leaves left yellowed and died just as the new growth was starting.

Being an auto, is it all for naught if the timer is ticking? I’m glad it has new growth which is awesome to me.

2.
Growers choice Candy Kush planted in the ground that was completely topped by a deer just before I was going to top the 5th node.
new growth on the sides, again, being autos is this all pointless?

I hope you have a wire basket or fence around it now. I imagine the deer will be back when the plants get bushier. I'd let them grow and see what happens.
If you start some seeds now you may just have time enough to finish, if you start covering them at night in late September or grow inside with lights.
(I'm assuming you live in NY)

I have tomato cages wrapped in deer fencing to protect all plants now!
I just started 4 seeds in a growth journal Friday. 2.5 out of four are breaking ground. They will be outside until it’s unbearable and then in a workshop grow room.

Curious if anyone else has ever had a flowering auto regrow itself after a near-death attack.

I even went a week or two without watering because I figured it was dead. Boy was I wrong!

if it grows back, I’ll buy a lotto ticket and then try to clone the plant all in the same night.

Ouch, rough break man! I have no idea if they'll come back or not. But! At least the roots are already well established so hopefully it can regrow for you.

Yeah who knows! I’m learning! If they keep growing I’ll happily update this just to document incase others may find value.

Still going post injuries & post heat wave. The larger plant, growers choice gorilla glue, has new vegetative growth that is now beyond the original stem.
the smaller one, GC Candy Kush, is chugging along as well! I increased nutrients and watering for the past week, alternating daily vs the previous water or nutrients every 2-3 days and the plants have responded with growth.

curious if these are still on an autoflower timer or if they will be photo‘s now. Still cool to see them come back from being eaten by deer! One while it was flowering!

Resilient plants. Auto/photo is built into the genetics.

When l first seen the title of this thread; l thought @greeninNY was attacked by a deer. l live in a rural area & that is not unheard of + l watched a "When Ostriches Attack!" type video on the YouTube last night...lol. I'm gonna follow this thread with interest.

I thought the same. I have a 10 pointer I call Owens that has a little sex den going in the same woods I have a guerilla patch going. Owens is going to have to defend it this year there's at least 3 other younger bucks hanging around. I'm hoping to be done and gone before the fighting and fornicating gets serious.
