Nutrient deficiency? Advice needed

Hey guys cheers for help. I'm going to give a minor feed today, I don't have cal-mag, is there anything else I could use atm? My humiditys between 60-70% temps are 70-80°F. I'm using a ph tester the electric one you dip in the water? And I'll post some new pics soon. Thanks again:smoking:

Nothing to supplement other than cal mag I don't think mate. The electric pH pens are the way to go!

I always cheated using light mix and bat guano . Put bat guano soil round the outside and load the middle with light mix . I never fed them before 6-7 weeks just added 0.5ml of plant magic cal/mag a ltr and only fed if I see nute issues . Worked fine for me takes all the worry out the grow

Bob-- I gather you're using the run-off method to test pH? From what I see in the symptoms, and the speed it hit at, this is a pH issue likely,... like Canna said, it's too soon for such a defc. to start, but off-pH can cause lockouts, and other stresses... If you're just testing the run-off straight, the reading is way off, it just doesn't work like that... this method is dicey to begin with, prone to measurement errors, but there is an improved method here that will give a decent reading if done right- ( https://www.autoflower.org/threads/...-for-run-off-testing-and-ph-estimation.41733/ ).... follow directions to the letter,..you'll need some RO/DI water too, and a recently calibrated meter,... only after a decent pH measurement is taken can we offer corrective suggestions, and determine if there's a nute lock-out happening,...

Yes waira iv been using the run off method. I'll follow your method when I water today. Thanks for the help, my plants not looking too happy today, leaves seem to be looking worse, still only the old leaves affected, the new growth is still looking good. So waira, should I listen to duggy and feed her a 20% feed or should i water her once more to check ph ? Thanks for the help man! :smoking:Will upload some pics soon, not working atm.

...do the pH test first, mate...That it's still advancing on the lower set, but new growth is okay (I do see the slight tip discoloring) is bad news-good news- LOL! The symptoms are kinda mixed, which still steers me to a pH issue, and likely, those lowers are getting tapped into, not just croaking out... here's the catch: in this case, a defc. can happen 2 ways; plain old lack-of something(s), and a lockout of certain nute's due to off pH rendering them unabsorbable, or maybe some of both; if it's any type of lockout, adding more nutrients won't help (might even worsen matters), not until soil pH is corrected... you say your feeds are going in at 6.5, or the water? I saw you mention tomato food, at the same NPK as Biobizz? What was the conc. strength? I'm wondering, if tomato fert's are like acidic feed loving plant fert's, which is too acidic for canna', plus peat tend toward mild acidity too, all combined might be too much,.. we'll see with that test!

Hey there waira I'll have to wait until I get home to check the conc strength, im going to use your method tomorrow to check ph, as ive got 2 pots in one container, the run off would be mixing together, could this be problem if both pots have a different ph? Should I stick them in 2different lids to get run off, off each one? (I never had anything ideal, thats why iv got 2pots in a blue box). I didn't think it would be a problem if ph was all the same going in the pots, tho I knew there would be differences. Hope my babies will be ok lol. Thanks for the help waira!
