Indoor nutrient question please help clarify.

Ok guys ill try to make this simple..

When testing the ph of some purified water i bought the ph was about at a neutral 7, here is a pic.

ok the last feeding i put only 1/4 tsp of tiger bloom into a gallon of water which was the same color green at whats shown in the pic above , which is 7.

after i put that 1/4 tsp in it the ph dropped to the orange area (im talkin in the 4's or 5's) as i expected.
i brought it close to 6.5 as i could and that was that. ( that was about a week ago )

Today i used the the same water which at first tested green also at 7. I upped bloom and added 1/2 tsp of tiger bloom nutes..i was expecting it to be lower/more orange..instead it looked like this....

i thought the more nutes you add to the water the lower the ph would go..

i know it needs to be a little more darker and closer to 6.5..just wondering if u guys can clear up why it dropped lower with less nutes..

Purified. I usually use distilled but they were out so I just used purified.

Ok guys does purified water react differntly to nutes? Again using the liquid tester I checked the ph of some purified water...right at 7.

I then added some grow big, let it sit and expected it to drop way low like it does when I use distilled water, but when I tested it it was still green like before clearly still over 6.5 basically about 7 still...

Usually after I add nutes to my water i always gotta ph it back up.....but I never had to add nutes then add acid to make it lower? It's kinda confusing anyone kno why it ain't dropping super low as usual?

Thats a hard one.The only thing I can think of is the purified and distilled water react different to the nutes.All you can do is adjust to correct ph no matter what kind of water you use,and go with that.

The BRITA water filter cartridge only partially removes the hardness from drinking water. This part is temporary hardness, which causes scale deposits during cooking. It does not remove all of the minerals from the water. It reduces the concentration of calcium and magnesium with cation ion exchange resins, but theses substances are not completely removed as in desalination systems or industrial plants that use reverse osmosis or distillation processes, for example.

no matter what water you use, add a 1/3 a teaspoon of sea salt per gallon, it has about 90 mineral's and trace element's and you dont have to worry about the mineral content of any water
