Mephisto Genetics OBSF's stealth cab round #2: Fantasmo Express & Double Grape

Wow they are looking sooo good. When the chop happening? Thank you for the updates!! Living vicariously though you now, as I am almost out of all my double grape, I can’t even believe it. I got about 2.5 ounces altogether from 3 DG each in 2 gal pots. Not really the yield I was going for But she made up for it In quality.

What kind of aromas are you getting? When she grew she would give off these like candy grape soda whiffs... but now that she’s dried and had a very short cure she’s just straight up in your face grape funk, emphasis on the funk, bordering on a almost chemical smell. I can’t get enough of it, every time I grind up a bud I can’t resist opening up the grinder to catch that smell. As soon as the jar opens the double grape reaches out and smacks all other noses in the room. some obnoxiously good weed right there, and it’s the kind I can smoke J after J of, without getting too high and without hitting an obvious cieling. Actually I think that’s part of why we ran out!

I’m very interested in fantasmo Express, how does she grow? At least 1 of the next set of beans getting popped is going to be fantasmo x toof decay, pretty excited.

Yeah I think you yielded great again! Gonna have to keep up with your stuff so I can pick up a thing or two in the yield department lol.. autos ain’t photos. I know they can yield good I just haven’t pushed all the right buttons at all the right times yet I don’t think, they seem pretty rigid in what they want, when they want it.

But autos are the future :smokeit: Hope you start a new one soon, if ya do I’ll be following along!

Thank you Wallflower and jumper!
It's been fun watching the DG go into swell mode and just frosting up like there's no limit...

The FE has been a little weird, but should still be a nice product in the end. It's getting some density and will hopefully be a good day time variety. It started out strong, but the stalk and branches never thickened up very much. The DG is almost twice the thickness at the stalk. Still it did well for what I think was too rich of a soil to start in.

Trichs on both are almost completely cloudy at this point with minimal Amber, so maybe another week til chop at least.

Harvest updates to come soon I'd imagine!

Hey all... little update as the colors of fall have hit the fruits. Thought some might like a couple pics to froth over. I know I am ready for some tasting here. :)

FE trichs looking nice...

I'll have another look at the trichs towards the weekend with a potential harvest then.

Plain spring water only as of today and everyday the pot is really light, so they're sucking it in quick.

Shouldn't be long now! :zen:

Plants look great. I am wondering what microscope/endoscope you used to take those shots? Clean picture of the heads is much better then I get by using a manual scope.

Thanks Seymourbud!

It's just a little hand held manual version that I used in front of my phone camera... but let me just say that it took about 15 minutes of attempting pics to get a few decent ones. Super hard to get both aligned right while hitting the focus area. Kind of frustrating using this method. I've seen someone recommend a USB plug in model around here that should be way easier to get pics with I'd imagine...

Btw, your crops look amazing! Really enjoy checking out all the pros around here at AFN and learning more about autos. Keep up the great work...

Dam that looks amazing! How long did the double grape end up going for ?

So it looks like a post was vaporized during AFN's downtime...

The FE ended up going about 85 days and the DG about 75 days.

Final dry weights were:
FE = 86 grams
DG = 88 grams
For a total of 6.1 ozs. @ 64% RH!
Not bad :-)

FE has a real spicy/peppery smell to it and the DG is sweet and fruity, but not that potent in smell, but we'll see as it cures in the coming weeks.

Just had a couple Strawberry Nugget beans shoot taps out yesterday, so those are going into soil today!

Hope all have been well on our little downtime here at AFN...

Yowzaa, beautiful (and bountiful) harvest. Great job!
