New Grower On My Way

Well Peeps,

I just ordered my seeds for the first time had a hard time picking which one to get
but I went with Sweet Fast Bud 3 pack from Herbie's. I also bought some lamps, perlite( I am going to try the Hempy Bucket and I actually ran across some Hg lights today, and I also stoped by my local hydroponics store and picked up some General Hydroponics a Ph Kit and some nutes for my plants. I'M SO EXCITED!!!
This weekend I am going to start preparing my grow room(my closet) and setting everything up. So is there anything I should know or do? Just think about the first time you grew.... Is there anything that you wish you knew before hand? If so please let me know I love to fill myself with knowledge. GOODDAYMATES

Oh yeah I decided not to smoke until I grow my own its been two weeks now and my ma says I mind as well quit but I just refuse to put money in anybody elses pockets again!!!

thank you what do you think about halogen lights the ones I bought says 532w 1050 lumens 2850k and It says its the same eqivilent as a 75w incadesent light bulb?

Halogens give off only heat, lots of it and very little light. They'll be no good for you. compact flourescent is the cheapest starter. 6500k for vegging and 2700k for flowering. Incandescents are also worthless. Overwatering is the biggest problem and overfeeding is next. Patience with the starting is very difficult. Check out the diy tips and tricks forum and read threads all over this site like crazy
