This shit happens because people go to the streets and buy drugs of questionable quality from shady people.
The future is in the digital black market , on websites like the silk road (although it was shut down).
People want access to safe drugs, from reviewed sources. If we had that, tragedies such as these wouldn't happen.

Anybody who feels the need to tell people what to put in their body, is ignorant. Anyone who admonishes those who push the boundaries of consciousness, is a tyrant. Our only hope lies in the fact that with each passing day, the ignorant majority is one day closer to death. Because that's the only way people like that will ever keep their ignorance to themselves.

Hey ya Pop22.well first I'd like to say,brother,I truly feel for you.your pain and confusion has to be insane.My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your entire family.

If I may offer an opinion on the matter of the gateway drug theory.imho is can be thought of as a gateway drug for a few sure.BUT thats to say either they smoke pot,cigs,drink beer or anything else.They were already predisposed to want to try this or that.As we all know some are wired that way,but to lump Herbs in with that is some peoples only way to say its a gateway drug.But for the millions that are not wired that way,there is not way your gonna burn one n say hey a huff of frigin glue sounds awesome.LMAO!imho,your either wired to do these things already,or your not.so for those who are wired to try more extensive and hard drugs,its always said,its pot that did this.I think(as many dont)some dont really think of what they say the whole way through.Thats my two cents my friend.

Thank you, and, I agree with you. the problem is convincing the others, now that they've faced this tragedy. some see the sense in what you say, but many other will turn on you if you even dare to try to reason with them. To some of them though I want to say, if you'd got this girl the therapy she needed long ago, this may never have happened. She had an inner battle with some serious stuff from her past, and she lost. Hate and alcohol are the true cause of this, but people tend to be blind to that. All I can do personally is move on and be what help I can to the families.

I agree with EoF, if a person is going to abuse, I don't think the object of the abuse makes much of a difference, alcohol, nicotine, prescriptions whatever is available. It's an illness that needs to be dealt with and treated not criminalized and legislated! Sorry you do not need my indignation...

No wwwillie, your words are appreciated. I went thru a whole series of emotions, days of thought, looking at all the aspects of this. Its how i dealt with it. Many Many years ago, I had a friend who had a thing for downers. He'd gets so wasted on them you'd swear he was falling down drunk. He said: One day, I'm going to be walking down the street and drop dead from them. He did. The saddest part of all the, is would rehab have helped? The way I see it, you really have to want help, and/ or know you need it.

in school we were told that heroin is the most antisocial and no-return drug available, of all the common drugs, like the number 1 dont get into it. it's tragic to have drug accidents.

A schoolfriend died rolling a joint: abit older than us and he was on the p&o ferry with friends from year above, he had some beers and wanted to roll a spliff in the safety boat, and he got in while a friend watched him, the boat rocked, and he fell overboard holding the safety boat ladder in his hand and looking his other friend in the eyes, and was gone, in a cold winter night.

my friend who likes opiates says heroin is not very good. snorting is not very good i dont think either. if speed is the poor man's coke, heroin is a the poor man's adventure escape... there's a temple in thailand where you can go and rehab. it puking therapy. they give you a tea that makes you puke heavily, and all the rehab worshippers go and puke endlessly into a gutter together ever day, and in the evening they go and cry and wail in their rooms.

smoking cannabis and being too much alternative makes people accident prone, cannabis every day is crazy for people who are in adventurous situations, it's not very creative.

cannabis should be an inspiration drug, occasional, or a session drug that becomes boring if it's all the time, a medecine, but it has the tendency of becoming a lifestyle drug, which is only ok if you are a rastafarian or a creative artist or in a stable outlook or young and healthy.

With all these drugs available, there should be a theory test offered by the government to take them legally. druggies should go on a points system and if they get too twatted on drugs, they lose points and they lose their license.

I have had a few friends over the years who have died by heroin OD, i still know a couple who are addicts and have been for 30 years or more, although i don't see them anymore i will hear about it when they die. I know of a couple of "functioning" heroin addcits they work, have brought up kids, own a house etc but i suspect they are in the minority.

I am not sure what your point is, one mate of mine was put in prison for 7 years in canada in 1974, Kingston high security prison, he was captured at Toronto airport with a few Kilos of fine pakistani hash (there was a Mr, Nice connection but thats another story). In his case he got through it but i am sure other people would have cracked up.

I myself spent a month in a pakistani prison Peshwar around the same time for a half kilo of hash, i got through it, just. so there are danger in puff too.

I don't like heroin, tried it a couple of times it was nice but not my bag. I was a regular at the opium dens in Peshwar at one time but i guess addicts are born not made, cos as soon as i left pakistan for India all i had was a week or so cold turkey and the that was it, opiates were history for me A friend of mine who i hadn't seen in 20 years died last year from liver disease, thats booze for you.
