Opinions on Roots Organic soil

I just helped someone recently who was using the 707 and they also had issues with it being too hot for their seedlings.

Muddy, what was the problem and what did you do to fix it?

Auto seedlings can be nutrient sensitive and a hot soil can cause over feeding issues. There are several options. One is to start them in something like Pro Mix that doesn't contain all the amendments and then transplant them into the hot mix after 2 weeks or so. Another is to use the tiered method where you take two large plastic cups, punch some drainage holes in one and cut the bottom off the other. Place the one without the bottom inside the one with the drainage holes. Fill it with Pro Mix and start your seeds in those. After a couple weeks remove the outer cup and "plant" the one without the bottom half way deep into the hot mix. The roots will grow out the bottom of the cup and into the new soil. The last method is to hollow out the center of the pot with the Roots soil and fill it with Pro Mix. Start your seed in that and as it grows the roots will expand out into the hot soil.

Just came across this thread I know I am late but,

I never ran into any seedling burning issues when I ran RO original and start feeding em around week 2 ish, only issue I had was its been a while since I ran it and this time I ran into a pretty crazy ph swing and needed lime but chucking that to bad soil unless they changed it from last year. last year ran ph stable and perfect but this run was a bit wonky.
