New Grower Opinions please

I've just completed my first grow, I had 3 plants in 11liter pots in a 120cm X 60cm tent under a 250hps in soil, as this was my first grow there was many ups and downs.
I only managed 5oz dry and trimmed, I'm not sure if it was the lack of space or just because I'm a novice grower as to why my yield was small.

My next grow I'm adding a led 150w(300 actual) or maybe scrap the hps and get a 600w led.

For my space is it better to more grow smaller yielding plants in smaller pots or maybe scrog 2 larger yielding plants. What's everyone's thoughts?

It really depends on what strains you are running also 250watts of hps is not a lot of light for 3 plants so that is probably the main thing for the yield

Tbh you're probs bang on about that as there was always 1 plant that was kind of left out.

Do you think a 600w led would be good for 3 plants or maybe 2 300w leds?

The 2 smaller LED 's would be a better option given your dimensions.. and give you more flexibility to run plants at different times...

Is there such a thing as overkill when it comes to light?
Would 2 large led lights say 600w or 1000w each be overkill for the size tent I have?

Too much light will cause problems with hanging distance and possibly heat. 2 x 150 - 200w actual ( likely called 300 -400w) should be sufficient.
You could always add a 3rd light later if you felt it necessary..

But do you think 3 plants are a correct fit for that tent?

3 would be fine..but it depends on grow style and choice.. you can put many small pots or fewer large. Most would choose 2-4 for that space so you should be good. I run 1-2 in a 60x60 which is half your space...

i grow in a 50x100 3 plants,but all of different ages 21 days between them.works ok for me.

Yep these guys are spot on! 3 plants with the 3 LED's will work great!
