Hey everyone, I'm starting my very first adventure with autopots and decided to start up a journal to chronicle the journey!

I have never actually used an autopot before. The idea behind seems pretty simple: reservoir of water gravity feeds into trays with the pots, a proprietary float controls the water level so it's feeding only what the plants should be taking up, and the roots wick the moisture up through the bottom and feed the plant.

My first impulse was to attempt a DIY version of it; but sometimes it's nice to have something "tried and true" and with support/warranty, so I'll give a shot before trying to reinvent the wheel!

My original plan was to go with the Autopot XL, which has 6.6 gallon growing containers. I've only grown with a max of 5 gallons in the past (and have filled buckets with roots with them,) but recently toned everything down to 3 gallon pots (seems to be a sweet spot for a majority of autos in my opinion.) So instead of the XL version, I opted for not one, but two sets of four of the 4-gallon pot variety. I'll be running one set in a 4 x 4 tent under HPS/MH, and the other set will be in my 5 x 5 auto tent under a Mars II 1600W 5W LED (courtesy @MarshydroTina and Mars Hydro.)

I will be running air domes on every single autopot; using General Hydroponic Dual Diaphgram pumps to power them (playing with the numbers on what's required/recommended by Autopot.) I plan on covering the air domes with a mix of hydroton and perlite, then the rest will be a mixture of a coco/perlite.

The beans will be primarily tester beans from @briman (Tombstone) and @Stone 's Stone Dragon. I will plant 3-4 beans per pot (they are regular, not feminized) for a higher percentage of getting a female and will cull the males. If multiple females are to be had, they will be left as a multi-pot.

Depending on the timing, I will likely be running two of the Autopots in a test for the company Kind Soil, using one of their super soil products. The remaining six Autopots will be fed using the Grow More Sea Grow veg and bloom nutrients.

More details to come!

Great Title Hobbes! Great setup! Looking forwards to watching this "transform" your garden into a huge forrest! Sub'd up and ready for the ride! :pass:

Best of luck mate...enjoy the easy life.. fill the tank and sit back and smoke..:pass:

Appreciate it brother; if this works I'm going to be excessively excited!

:hump: This is actually the revised title. Since I've been doing so many of your strains lately under this Mars light, the original title I came up with was:

"Hobbes does Briman hard while Mars Hydro watches"

Mrs Hobbes didn't think it was very forum appropriate. I told her "but it's the TRUTH though!!!" Sigh. Women.
