I'm so sorry, I forgot about this.

I made the oil in a magic butter machine.

1 oz trimmed bud, dried, not cured.
750ml (3 1/2 cups) of 151 everclear.

I put that in Magic Butter Machine on tincture setting. 160° for 4 hrs. then strained into a heavy bottomed sauce pot.

A cast iron skillet on stovetop, on lowest flame possible.
I placed saucepot with tincure in cast iron skillet and reduced slowly, until 3 tablespoons of liquid remained (about 2 hours), stirring frquently with a silicone spatula.
The tincure never actually simmered because I didn't want the temp to exceed 170°. It really just slowly evaporated.
The oily goo was gathered up with silicone spatula, placed on a silicone mat, to finish drying, for a few hours. And that was it.

I tacked (placed under tongue) a dose the size of a grain of rice. That was a mellow high. Recreationally, I would try 50% more. It is pretty potent.
This is for my mother. She has a very low tolerance. I am waiting on some sunflower lecithen and beef gelatin, 00 pill capsules in the mail. She will most likely be taking suppositories.
When I do make them, I will update.

I thought I'd share my first experience with making pills. I got some really great instructions from another site on how to go about it. I've decided to tweak the recipe, by making it weak, for Mom.

I started with 2 grams of oil

Tared scale. Added 48 grams of Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Tared scale. Added 14 grams of Sunflower lecithen.

A sauce pot that bowl fits in, on very low. Just enough for bubbles to form at the bottom, but not high enough to simmer.

Placed bowl inside and with a silicone spatula, mixed for a couple minutes.

When completely mixed, I wrapped it up.

From here it will go in the fridge overnight, or at least 12 hours, to somewhat solidify.
Tomorrow, I will fill caps.

Thanks Archie. It's pretty exciting news and has given me the push to grow organically. 1 plant for now...coming soon.

I don't remember exactly how many pills I made...maybe 60. They were very weak though. I will be making more pills today and I will let you know the outcome.
