Mephisto Genetics Orange Biscuits,Port & Stilton,Jammy Dodgers,and Chem Stomper

I'm not sure there's really any way to stop the dankness running around the house during the drying process. You could do it the tent but it will be too fast. Depends what's most important to you.
Flavour will be affected and you'll probably end up with a harsher final product but the effect will be the same. That can be corrected to a certain degree with Boveda packs in the cure but only to an extent. You've got some fantastic looking buds and it would be a shame not to dry them properly.

Maybe you could make a box and put it in a cupboard somewhere? Perhaps you could even tape up the cracks in the cupboard to try and keep the smell in.
Thanks for the suggestions

Im gonna dry in my basement bathroom

I put a temp/humidity gauge and humidifier in there last night to test the environment and everything was perfect

Im gonna stop at the store today and get a bunch of candles, spray, incenses and whatever else i can find to help mask the smell

I’ll be sure to take few pic before i chop

I may chop the Creme Stomper today too but if I don’t that one will be coming down by Tuesday/Wednesday at the latest

The CS already has a bunch of amber

If you're using products to mask the smell, then don't use them in the drying space itself but outside the door. Sprays are bad news as you'll end up smoking some of the residue. Burning incense can really taint the smell and taste of the bud too.

If it's possible, I would avoid having anything in the same room but get an Ona block and keep it just outside the door. They seem to sort of eat the smell rather than just masking it with something stronger.

Nothing will be in the room except the humidifier. Thanks for recommending the Ona block. The reviews look good so I went ahead and ordered 4 that will be delivered tomorrow

Dude, would you like some real advice? Sprays, Ona, candles, oils, ect are a waste of money and just mask the smell. Carbon filters are insanely cheap now an available in so many sizes. Tents are way cheaper than ever. I can send you a link for all of the items for a Drying Tent. You can use a computer fan as your Exhaust fan. For less than $100 you will have a small drying tent that will last you forever and will remove 100% of your odor. Chopping and hanging without a drying tent would probably have resulted in a Divorce for me a long time ago. If you plan on being a grower, do it right the first time. Good luck

Also, when your not drying your plants you can always throw a small light in the drying tent and get a head start on your next round...dual purpose item!

my P&S is done and i want to chop today but dont have anywhere to hang it without my entire house smelling like weed :face:

is it ok to dry it in the tent im stil growing in?

have any of you tried that before
Hey! I meant to respond yesterday but something came up when I was halfway through... I’ve read that you’ve already decided on a method for now and have already ordered some supplies , but just in case it doesn’t work out as well as you’re hoping I wanted to offer this as as possible short term solution. You could dry in paper bags inside your tentand have the paper bags in a box to further protect them from lightif you have the room to do so... not as great a solution as @slowandeasy recommendation but it can do well for you as time is of the essence for you right now! Hey slow, I think I’ll totally take you up on a link to that $100 solution!!!

I thought about doing the paper bags but I’d rather not

Gonna be to hard for me to control the temp and humidity in the bags

Im pretty set on using the basement bathroom.Cleaned everything in there last night and got the environment dialed in as far as temp and humidity is concerned.I already have one of those netted layered drying racks i got off amazon

I’ll just put one of those Ona things outside the bathroom door, another at the top of the basement steps by the door, one on the 1st floor close to the front door, and the 4th on the 2nd floor

Well be sure to report back how it works for you! I’m sure many area interested in hearing about it. I could be mistaken but for the most part the temp and humidity in the bags will be very much the same as what’s going on in the tent. I’ve just used the large paper yard waste bags in the past and cut them down to 10in tall and line the bottom of the bag ( just one layer) with the buds spread out. I’ve basically had a 7-8 day dry time with that method...
